I talked to Nick about this last week, and he doesn't know (not their lawyer... yadda yadda), but he thinks probably not. For one thing, Todd isn't facing an career existential crisis the way Vic is. Nobody seems to want to fuck with him too much ATM, as long as he continues to play it like Fonzie. A lot of people still don't even know the about shit with Thotmore, and he hasn't been canned from anywhere.

Meanwhile, people are still fucking with Vic's credits, his con appearances, and more. A counter-offensive is now mandatory.

But this situation is fluid, and Todd will probably have to address the elephant in the room at some point.

I don't think that's what the second surprise is, at any rate.

Oh he’s doing plenty of damage. He’s outlining a mechanism of business collusion and monopolistic behavior in order to unlawfully blacklist independent business contractors from their industry. The other con owners are gonna hire a hit man or plant a chair bomb. This fucking idiot that won’t shut up is quickly moving this from a minor contract matter to something that could get the Fed’s sniffing around, should BHBH choose to be nasty. Most likely they’ll just go the civil route. But based on Shame’s public ravings they’ll be able to seek everybodies communications in discovery. I mean he is technically a con owner/operator. One who is proudly claiming illegal cross business communications were occurring to blacklist people. And the beauty is he is too fucking stupid to realize what he is doing. At this point his only hope is everyone believes he is a lying retard.

As much as I would love to read a story about someone getting screwed over this, I've had enough exposure with the entertainment industry to suspect they probably won't go after this person because it's not worth the time and expense. If they're rabidly defensive like Coke they might send a C&D letter, but that would probably be it.

Edit: Looking at the Bulma patch again, there's so much wasted space on the bottom half of the circle too. They went with an unfinished draft of something with potential.

But this might be the straw that broke the camel's back, especially since it's so close to con day. At least with Monica et al they had a month to get more warm bodies to fill in.

I remember people throwing fits because Vic was invited back, citing that they had committed to the weekend and now had to deal with being in the same building as an evil predator or losing out on however much money. But at least they had weeks to resolve it.

What about the people who were stoked to see the Okratron tour? Or wanted to meet Sabat? He's left them swinging in the breeze with a excuse so flimsy one of Nick's kid could knock it over.

No really go back to Nick’s interview with the Amazon’s. Note their reaction to finding this pack of morons. How they had never encountered potential opposing litigants that acted in the manner these fools do. That wasn’t praise. It was disbelief that anything as stupid as these people could possibly walk among us.

they're autistic in their defense of their IPs. there were dbs episodes that'd appear on youtube with heavy distortion that were gone in literal seconds.

While it is possible, maybe even likely - I have zero clue, there's nothing I've seen that personally links Monica to the patch. That's kind of like saying that Vic authorized the "Fear the Beard" patch.

They did DMCA shit on TFS, using YouTube's highly automated system that is usable by mentally exceptional people.

It's probably a little more involved to get somebody to stop selling a patch. I dunno if they care enough to send letters and shit, or whether Etsy has an easy takedown protocol.

I just think it's fucking funny they use copyrighted IP, and we're using a silhouette of Ty (which he's okay with it). You don't see "us" shelling Broly merch for Vic's benefit.

Capitalism is bad. The state should own everything. The workers must control the means of production. Virtue signal!
