Remember Miles Luna, one of the few Rooster Teeth employees that we know is KickVic, and he is a lead writer on the show Vic is on.

Who's to say whether or not he would just write Vic's Character out via death even though his character is a fan favorite.

Given the fact that RT is cucked beyond belief and will call their fans homophobes and assholes, I think Miles just might, and in that case, Vic would have no legal action.

Trust me Vic being sad about not possibly not playing Qrow(that's how its spelled in the show) again tears me up inside, but in my opinion his best option is to just sue Rooster Teeth, because his other options are to join a dying show that will just get rid of him or a dying show that's just been crippled due to the firing of some of its staff.

And Ty said that he’s investigating two companies, initially, which should be RT and Funimation. Ron works at The Tuttle Group and Ty said that Ron wasn’t Iago, so he might not be investigating that at the moment (supposedly).

There's been stories of Sabat being an asshole prior to this shitstorm, hasn't there? I know the DB fandom tends to hold grudges but are still super loyal to their favorite series that they begrudgingly put up with Funimation's shit, but if this turns out to be the last straw...

People keep saying that Vic was picked by TOEI but is there a source for this?
Sorry if it's been brought up before.

Adding a bit to the Toei discussion, but Toei is notorious for being super controlling about their IPs. For instance, it is mandatory for a woman to play Luffy, has been since even before 4KIDS got the license. They and Naoko had to pick their Sailor Scouts (and maybe everyone else, but they're super picky about the main cast) for the Viz redub. It really wouldn't surprise me if Broly may have been the first Dragon Ball character Toei had control over deciding who to voice him, and they picked Vic, and he's remained Broly since, but the audition story and sending in voice demo reels are both plausible.

But really, everything has to go through Toei and get their seal of approval should a licensee consider making changes to an IP, intentionally or not. (For everything 4KIDS had done with One Piece, Toei had the final say. They fully approved of editing out Sanji's cigarette, replacing guns with airsoft/water guns, and turning Laboon into an iceberg to name a few examples.)

I've been reading live since page 700 or so and am catching up from page 1 as well. I have seen TONS of broken links to tweets, videos etc. This thread is obviously being watched by a lot of people so please remember:

• archive everything you post, seems like a lot of people are deleting content we link to shortly after it goes live here
• considering the legal nature of this cow situation, don't consider screen shots to be sufficient archiving as they are fakeable
• youtube is unreliable so if you can rip the video when it's available and upload it directly to KF
• there is likely going to be a lot DFE soon so if anyone has the time/desire, pastebins with organized archives could help

sorry if this feels like backseat modding but it's very difficult to stay on top of threads that are moving this quickly and even harder when half of the links/references are dead even when they're less than a few hours old. love to all fellow kiwis <3

Not really, it at the least confirms the times he will be at the con. someone can now cross reference these hours with Monica's Con times to determine whether or not he will be at Monica's con. From that we can then draw the final conclusion as to whether or not he cancelled the tour to spite the con and fans due to vic being reinvited or whether Toei was involved in pulling the tour

The only thing I can think of is Shane really thinks there isn't a lawsuit coming, and he's banking on a false narrative where Vic can't prove he's innocent, and he'll use that to explain why there's no lawsuit yet.
