Digi is right. You don't need to win an argument to be correct. Maybe Destiny has a logical breakdown of why everything they currently believe is true, but people don't work that way.

I don't think either Destiny or Digi were arguing that you need to win an argument if what you are saying is proven to be fact. The issue they had was Digi believes in an argument you don't need to back up your claims at all to make a substantial or good point as merely stating the point makes it substantial. Destiny believes in the realm of an argument you must back up your point for it to be worthy or of substance.

But as I think you pointed out earlier, the real issue is that Digi only thinks he believes that, but he doesn't really, he's just being a contrarian to defend dick. He also lacks the basic humility to just take the loss on that particular point and move on because it was an exceptional hill to die on.

Yes I do believe that, he almost subsconsciously whether it's politics, anime, psychology whatever takes a contrarian route to basically try and be different which is why he markets and labels himself as being some sort of outlandish one of a kind thinker that no one understands. So yeah, I agree.
 
I came from the Destiny thread because I wanted to shit talk the dude and Digi came out so fucking bad from that one I had to come here.

I know he's a fucking degenerate but ignoring that, I used to respect his opinion. I knew there was some bullshit with his views on objectivity but defending literally confirmation bias is fucking retarded.

Coltrane played jazz, and that's all he did. Just play jazz motherfucker, stop trying to cover so many bases you obviously don't because you end up not looking good. At least Digibro won't care half as much as JonTron, he really fucked up.

Fuck, a good number of -lawyers- can't do that, and they're the people who are specifically trained and taught to engage in logical reasoning and argue their points, you have to take a logical reasoning test to go to law school.

It's disingenuous bc Dick is a comedian, not a political thinker, and has never marketed himself that way. I love the guy, but he's never thought about politics beyond "well I like doing drugs and hate paying taxes, so that's what society should be".
