One one hand I feel kind of bad for the people knocking on the age gap. My own parents have a 20-year gap, and I think the marriage turned out all right. I think I turned out all right too, but then again, I'm on Kiwi Farms with all the rest of you nutjobs.
On the other hand, they didn't meet until mom was in her mid 30s so it's not like the unfortunate implications Shane has with his wife. So yeah.
On more Vic related news, any sightings of BHBH?

Don't get seriously puritanical, man. It's one thing to needle him but don't actually start buying into that nonsense. Even by the strictest rules in the world, she is a full grown adult now. Don't infantalise her.
They do it for the same reason they scream profanities. If they refuse to type his name out it means he's so vile that it's profane to say his name, and if they're going through that trouble it means they must have a real reason to be upset about him. Also, they're mostly appealing to Harry Potter fans, and those will have grown up with 'fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself' drilled into them. If he's too terrible to speak his name, he must be a horrible person.

The age gap thing is not that common now but was more acceptable in the past (the rate of mothers dying in childbirth was an underlying factor). Needless to say, some of us would not be alive due to these relationships (my grandparents had a 15-year age gap). Thank goodness that better medicine and medical techniques to ensure the life of the mother.

Wow, how weird that they have yet to meet despite working on the same show for so many episodes and at the same place. According to Rial and Marchi, Vic couldn't keep his hands off of them while they were working on shows together.
