To be fair to Toei that's only in America and can be basically blamed on DiC who had licensed it originally. The show got cancelled during it's original tv syndication in America and it wouldn't be till Toonami started airing reruns years later that it got notoriety in America. Toei had no problem licensing it out to other countries during that time like for Italy.I think Toei is also responsible for the bastardization of Sailor Moon not being licensed for 10 years.
That was only for EVO Japan which is an offshoot of the original EVO tournament in Vegas where FighterZ was prominently featured. EVO Japan has been notoriously incompetently run so I also give Toei a little leeway.Toei can be weird with their IPs, I guess. rumor has it that they were the reason that DB Fighterz was blocked from EVO.
