So did Vic actually get dropped by cons before Marchi/Rial started posting allegations? or was that slightly after?
I do remember that someone mentioning that they where spreading the ANN article around so it can gain more publicity to Funimation but never heard anything about the con part.

If Cons dropped instantly when the ANN article went up it does feel like a conspiracy considering how fast the response was and leaves the question of if they even investigated the allegations or not. It also brings into question Rial as she's been claimed to have ties with Con owners.

I'm not an end all expert but I have some cross con tendrils still around. There were some cancellations due to scheduling issues. And a very few minor dust ups with some convention staff due to miscommunication about what was to be done/provided as understood vs. actual contract language.

Not that I'm entrenched or anything but many con staffs work multiple cons; I have as well. In that there's a lot of cross chatter about problem guests, etc. Vic was barely mentioned in any negative sense. I wasn't even aware of who he was even though I have dealt with some items in his orbit.

Now he was well known as a romantic figure before becoming a Christian but even that, came with no accusations.

All this is to the best of my recollection and not necessarily accurate.

so did they drop him before the VA's tweets or after? still confused as tortuous interference would become pointless to go after apart from KC if that's the case.

Why yes, yes he did. Nick has had some communications with Vic when he set up the gofundme. The question was asked regarding lawyers in Texas. And Nickprovided Ty’s contact info. I believe Ty was somebody Nick had met once or twice at legal seminars or similar. Nick was familiar with Ty and knew of his broad practice. This is perfectly normal, and is in no way unethical or wrong. Nothing shady about it. “I don’t practice in Texas, but here’s the number of someone I know that does” is a very common thing provided by lawyers. It’s not a privileged activity nor is it considered engaging the lawyer. It’s just an overal professional courtesy that lawyers provide. If they can’t help you they will point you towards someone who can.

And clearly Nick pointed Ty towards a very good firm. One that seems well equipped for his specific needs. They have done a phenomenal job of rehabbing their clients tarnished public reputation, in addition to the actual nuts and bolts legal stuff.

Edit; and for the record, every “Professional” does this. Your Doctors do it so routinely that it’s built into the system now. It’s called referrals. The only real rule regarding it is the referring party can’t get paid under the table for the referrals.

I don't know why or how, but Nick and Ty knew each other before Nick was a lawyer. Somebody, I believe during the 24 hour stream, asked for advice on getting into law school. Ty said something along the lines of, "I'll give you the same advice I gave Nick." If anybody cares, the advice was to call the admissions office and setup an interview before they get your paperwork.

Well to be fair Texans tend to be very judgement proof due to our state laws that makes debt collection extremely difficult since for the average peasant they can only seize your bank account, since your house, land and personal property up to $60,000 are absolutely exempt.

Well he is making 6 figures and has his 2 (non-biological) kids college/university paid for already I'm thinking he wont have to worry to much, but considering he's a pathological lier and ignorant of everything, I doubt he has much money.
