Super Smash Bros.

Got him downloaded and didn't really have trouble. He's super fun to play

you can pull people down to the blast zone with up b
He's also the only character in the history of the series with a projectile that spikes. His neutral B will knock you straight down if he shoots it downwards in the air, and it has very generous timing.

Not saying that's a horribly broken thing. But having experienced nine DLC characters, Joker feels the most like a character that is DLC, if that makes sense. His gimmicks and presentation is so over-the-top that there's no way the devs are doing anything other than giving the people willing to cough up $5 their money's worth.

Once again, still not saying that's a bad thing.

I like Joker, but I can definitely say I won't be playing him. His playstyle isn't quite my jam and out of all the franchises in Smash, Persona is absolutely the one I'm least familiar with.

But on the other hand, I'm very pleased with some of the documented changes in the patch notes. Projectiles got a universal nerf, and a few characters I play (or would if they weren't so horrible) got some sweet buffs. I'll have to feel inspired to try out the custom stage builder one day, but I'm very excited for the potential applications.

Guys think Crash Bandicoot is possible? He’s already in two Switch games (albeit, they’re remakes) and Nintendo has collabed with Activision in the past by letting them put DK and Bowser in the WiiU port of one of the Skylanders games

I say he's a possibility. But I'd say that about a lot of characters...Dante, Spyro, 2B, Geno, Travis, KOS-MOS. I'd say he has more of a chance than the likes of Banjo-Kazooie, and I wouldn't mind his inclusion. It just that Activision, while they have collaborated with Nintendo in the past, those were rather minor collaborations that third parties get from Nintendo all the time when they port games to their platforms (companies like EA would make a point of getting Nintendo collaborations in the sports games, for example, to compel a few extra sales). But Activision have, at least up to this point, had zero involvement in Smash, unlike, say, Sega (who own Atlus) and they aren't particularly close to Nintendo. That, and I'm not sure how strong the demand is for Crash to be in the game; I mean, I'm sure he has some, but probably nothing like what Sonic and Mega Man had.

Fair. Though, I think they did confirm that fighter pass boys will only be from franchises new to Smash, so Geno and KOSMOS might have little chance of making it. There IS the rumor that Erdrick/Loto comes after Joker because of DQ11S.

Tbh, I kinda wanna see Bill Rizer. Maybe make his skins like Jr.’s, where one would be Lance, one would be Brad Fang, one would be Sheena, etc and make him a zoner like megaman, with his smash attack being laser, neutral A being a single fire that can become rapid fire if you press it enough, side b being flame, etc and the final smash being the bomb that clears out on screen enemies from the contra games, kinda like a more lethal version of crash attack or smart bomb.

I'm still gonna keep my hopes up for Crash Bandicoot as one of the Fighter Pass characters. I will main him if he becomes reality.

I mean KOS-MOS had a cameo appearance in Xenoblade, but she is originally from Xenosaga, which has no representation in Smash. I mean, they are both technically part of the "Xeno" series, but that's more of a thematic thing than anything else; Xenosaga and Xenoblade otherwise have no connection to each other and are separate series. With Geno...well Super Mario RPG is technically a spinoff of the Super Mario series, even if license issues have ostensibly kept it separate from the rest of the franchise. Not sure how Nintendo would regard him in that situation.

We now live in an era where Cuckhead and his pal Fuckman might actually have a chance at being in Smash
