A thought occurs: Rial has been saying that the investigation was private, but the io9 article briefly discusses the investigation and how it was inconclusive, without discussing a subsequent investigation.

If it was a private investigation, why would io9 be able to talk about it?

Io9 isn’t a party to any NDA’s or rules governing privacy. Nor is Nick. That whole “ those are super sekrit private company documents which means you can’t discuss or use them!” Is pure bulshit. It’s only private if the company keeps it private. And Funimation has no functioning HR department to do that.

Further these twits are trying to assert a claim of property and propriety over documents that are not theirs. They may be parties to an NDA regarding them, but they have no ownership or expectations regarding those documents. The NDA is not to protect them. Monica has no rights with regard to that investigation report to be asserted. And that NDA sure as shit in no way prevents it from being used in litigation regarding or against her.

What I think happens is that when Twitter decides that someone has to delete a tweet and review the TOS before logging in (I had to do this more than once when I still had an unsuspended account) that everyone who is on a list of waiting reporters for that account is notified that some action was taken on something the account tweeted, but not necessarily what you reported.

I've gotten several for Renfamous, but since they don't remind you what specific tweet you reported it's hard to verify that action was taken specifically on your report. I guess I will have to keep a log from now on.

For the record, I am against moderation in principle, but until Twitter applies what rules they have in a balanced way I will report all day.

I'm doubtful about Funimation though, because of the Broly DVD false advertising scheme. There's no way Funimation haven't realized that they fucked up unless there's something that incriminating in the investigation, which is doubtful considering that Vic hadn't even gone to jail as a result of an investigation conducted by a very high-profile company. Nevermind the fact that Rial is saying she's contacting Sony about leaked details of the investigation, and that she's actively trying to get people not to look into it.

Oh no, Funimation won't side with Vic. There's too much woke corruption going on in there and we've already clearly seen that their higher-ups (ie. the woke squad) are just trying to double down on their bullshit. Sony though...that's a different story. Sony had really nothing to do with this, they just investigated and did what any company would do and they found nothing worth firing Vic over or nothing worth enough for them to even intervene. I am pretty sure that Sony is not happy that Funimation is trying to drag them into the fray to use as a shield and am confident that if given the opportunity, they will most definitely throw Funimation under the bus to clear their own names.

I just want to highlight to everyone how insanely retarded funimation is. Their execs saw these threats, and instead of doing the sensible thing and try to work things out before calling their bluff, the capitulated. Sensible people know this was stupid, but these are execs and sometimes they don't know better, especially a small dubbing company (I know thats fake, but i'm lowballing to show that funi has no excuse to escape and no reason to be given mercy). however, there is one problem.

funimation is owned by sony. they can replace the VA's as easily as it is to fart.

That kind of comment was made because Vic was under the IMPRESSION that he was around friends but in reality even though he considered them all dear friends from working with them for a decade, they all hated his guts for their own exceptional reasons.

Monica also initiated the incident herself. If she hadn't waited eight years to even "report" it, one would even suspect it was a deliberate setup.

It's not actually confirmed but Nick heavily implies that they were trying to drive a wedge between him and his fans by getting them all to turn against him and that they KNOWINGLY publically made all those defamatory statements with the knowledge that it would emotionally damage him to the point where he would actually commit suicide.

David Dreger of Rooster Teeth committed suicide after a sex scandal, although it appears he was actually guilty of what he was accused of, and RT covered it up instead of exposing him.

So the people behind this certainly knew that was a possible outcome, and they went and faked up a scandal like this anyway.

It's pure nonsense. An NDA is only binding on the party thereto. The only people here claiming there are NDAs are people like Monica who would be subject to them, and if there was such a thing, she violated it herself by telling SoyeBoye about it.

I believe that it has been low-key surfaced a couple of times, if I remember correctly, that Vic has also been a huge boon to more than a few fans who were struggling with depression / suicidal thoughts / etc. Given the emphasis that Nick also put on his confidence in that direction as a result of getting to know Vic these two months (remember that he repeatedly noted that they'd know this might drive Vic to death) my impression at least is that Vic may have struggled with the same and that his fans are one of his foremost buoys in escaping that.

I haven't found anything quite to the calibre of the Funimation Reviews, but there's some gems in there.

Every one of these woke media companies is a clone of each-other. When you look at the business strategies, they arent even capitalistic. It's all about "Change" and feel good/lollipops and unicorn ideals. There's always SJWs in positions of power. But even scratching the surface INVARIABLY shows a 180 degree reality from the image. They are always in violation of assorted labor laws and pressuring staff to remain silent under penalty of termination. There are always sex scandals/accusations either real or invented, that staff must toe the company line on. And throughout it all, there is the increasing undercurrent of social media based 'unpersoning'/destruction brought to bear against apostates. And it's ramping up.

Every. Single. Time.

Fun fact from an insider of mine: Ass News Network has its writers prowl and patrol the boards with accounts they can post with, something that about 99.9% of newssources disallow and will fire their staff over.
