Going by Shane's track record so far, it makes perfect sense that he thinks the prosecution is going to bother alleging there was an investigation in their prayer for relief/filings for discovery.

Shane is so stupid. Even if nasty things come out about Vic it still ends up with people getting the truth and actual evidence, which is all anyone wanted in the first place. Also I'm pretty sure discovery is going to reveal that there are a lot of nasty "highly problematic" people at Funimation. Their supporters are going to love that.

It's the false idea that everyone is supporting Vic cause he's Vic and not because this whole situation kickvic put him in is fucked and they could NEVER back up anything they said with something substantial.
