Well because whole tumblr art style is about being a good intersectional feminist. To be a good intersectional feminist you need to be pro-LGBTQAI+, for body positivity, fat acceptance, pro-POC and so on. To virtue signal in maximum efficiency to other intersectional feminist (and to show all those cishet white bigots) you need cram as many marginalized identities as possible to one picture. So it’s more of unfortunate implication that comes from intersectional ideology that all trannies are ugly as fuck. Then again these tumblr kids will say that all bodies are equally beautiful so what do I know?

That and I think some parts of what’s come to be associated with the Tumblr/SJW art style are almost infamous in how easy they are to replicate and that appeals to the kind of people who can’t draw and would normally go unnoticed in other art circles. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the only two body types in Tumblr Land are noodle or sausage bodies: two art styles influenced by children’s cartoons and require no skill or knowledge on how to create depth or body/muscle definition to recreate.

I'm pretty sure they aren't refering to the Metroids with that. In Super Metroid you have these alien animals that teach you how to do the shine spark and how to wall jump. (they're kinda obscure) at the end of the game when you have escape from Zebes you can save these animals by taking a detour before going to your ship.

If that’s the case, they’ve made that needlessly confusing by having her with a Metroid and having the caption refer to it as a “special space baby.”

That’s a common issue with Tumblrina artists: they often feel the need to add tags that are completely unrelated to the subject matter for no other reason than to virtue signal. If you got them all in a room to do a still life of waffles, at least a third of them would add a stupid “gay rights” tag on the final product.

I would most certainly blame PeTA for bringing about animal cruelty on the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus (which caused them to shut down after 146 years).
