Although it seems to be self aware at times it's mostly concerned with using jane as a Trump stand in,which is a bit of ashame since there are intesting ideas it, they're just doing everything in the most overtly politically relevant way possible

I didn’t expect the epilogue (or rather, epilogues) to bring any satisfactory conclusion to Homestuck, but wow, I didn’t expect them to be such inedible toxic slurry that even longtime Hussie stans want to forget they ever read them.

That dosen't make much sense even from a story perspective, cherubs have strict gender roles and void players unhealthy attempt to hide their identity and remove their sense of self,which Roxy overcame

Just finished the Meat path, I'll read up Candy tomorrow.
I think it's pretty solid so far and I'm genuinely interested in what I assume is the cliff hanger for Homestuck 2; at least I assume that's what it is in the "Postscript" at the end of Meat.
I rolled my eyes uncontrollably anytime Roxy was "on screen", but at least she (and those around her) behaved like normal human beings about her pronouns not always being respected and stuff like that, so it wasn't as grating as I expected at the beginning and didn't destroy my enjoyment of the work as a whole.
In all honesty, this is probably the most "conciliatory" work of fiction I've read in a long time, in that I can see this easily appealing to both the woke crowd and... the rest of the world, I guess.

Not only that, Dirk is a transphobe and believes in two genders.
If it was Hussie and V's plan to kill off he remaining parts of the Homestuck fandom then they did a great job because the tumblr girls hated it. It feels like the point of the epilogue was to be a poorly written fanfic and shit on fanon interpretations of characters. Trans guy Dirk is a very common one.

Hilarious that Dirk's Alex from YIIK-esque rant that's obviously supposed to be portrayed as unreasonable and insecure still offends these retards (Again. Like Alex from YIIK). Also pretty surprising that HOMESTUCK out of all possible franchises decides to have an unashamed tranny basher on cast.

I fucking love this epilogue thing, partly because it offends people online so much. given the general reaction is similar to the reaction to the supplementary loreshit that had Einstein and Hitler having a drunken feud while also being members of a vaudevillain shadow government causing WW2, I'm surprised they haven't deleted it off the internet in a similar manner, apology letter and all.
It sucks there's no pictures, and sucks even further that this confirms homestuck is just going to be stretched out and milked until the heat death of the universe, but at least the characters in this are actually fucking Characters again! Not weird current year politic mouthpieces pasted over what used to be characters, but full on comedy adventure style comic type characters! You know what would make that even better? Fucking pictures!
Another thing here to add to the last part, I'm genuinely surprised none of these people even slightly picked up the weird echoes of the 2016 election. It was really obvious too with one candidate not wanting to run at first and the other essentially pocketing the media through bribes and collusion shit. Fuck, there was even that weird "not really an attempted assassination but it seemed like it for a bit" moment in there like what happened during one of trump's speeches. You'd think they'd get more offended at something like that then they would one of the characters gaining narrative control and talking about how he doesn't really care about what pronouns people want to go by, but here we are.

While I wouldn't say that the epilogue was "good" or that I liked it, I think it actually does contain a fair amount a nuance to some of the things it tackles. Which everyone is going to ignore because there is pretty much no significant segment of the fanbase that appreciates that kind of thing left anymore. It's going to be either "yay, Hussie agrees with my personal politics" or "boo Hussie disagrees with my personal politics". Can't wait to hear all about how Dirk was a heartless toxic male literal Hitler who is one dimensionally evil and always in the moral wrong while alt!Calliope is a Big Good who saved all the characters by letting them be themselves and wasn't manipulating them to suit her own artistic preferences at all.
When read in the mindset that Dirk and Dave are the characters whose personalities and character voices are the closest to Hussie's own (Dirk, more so Dave), and that Calliope has always represented Homestuck's own transformative fandom the epilogue is 1) pretty interesting 2) potentially kind of disturbing, depending on how much Hussie wrote personally. Like there's a small part of me that's worried that I just read like 600 pages of the author undergoing some weird crisis about his sexuality and whether he is sufficiently woke and then having some meta dick-measuring competition with the embodiment of his readership. It's weird.

YIIK is another horrifying mess that's fun to pick apart. Basically Alex (The main character) says some nasty stuff that's supposed to set up his redemption arc (Some if it was actually pretty reasonable though lol). This is LOUDLY flagged as unacceptable behaviour by the characters around Alex, Alex's future inner monologue narrating the story and Alex's inner monologue at the time.
People were still absolutely enraged and said the devs condoned his actions even though it was constantly drilled in that Alex was supposed to be a shithead.

This pretty much confirms that the expanded Homestuck history from that Skaianet leak that was deleted immediately is legitimized, even if Candy is effectively the "uncanon" choice. I wonder if Hussie is just fed up with his old clique and just want to rebuild his fanbase to be less obnoxiously toxic by making the old one leave in anger?
