I dont want to sound like a hipocrit but please try to avoid giving him the $20 if possible. I wasnt trying to inflitrate so I could troll, I wanted to see how he would treat someone acting like a legit fan. I was going to cap my experiment at the $5 in bits i bought. The reason I say this, its so easy to get sucked into the autism and next you know you have a $1000 bit badge because you have been "trolling" DSP so much for the past year.

TBH he is good at picking up you inflitraters and will take your bits until he is tired of you and then ban you and say he knew you were a troll all along, so be careful please.

The never ending cycle of DSPs mind games. He seems to drop older people when new pay pigs come into the foyer too. Not realizing that if he just left everyone alone, let his ego go and rolled with the punches he'd be making 4X what he is now. He's on borrowed time, one day new paypigs won't come and he'll still block someone, the DSP end game season is close I feel.

Of course his stupid ass prefers short term gains. He has a long track record of buying and using stupid shit like anime/game statues, girl friends, and moderators. Let's be honest, video games are not supposed to be so serious or life consuming. I don't have a negative view of Phil because he sucks or has an opinion of a game like Kingdom hearts that is negative. I don't like him (professionally not personally) because he represents the old, sleazy reputation of the door-to-door salesman. Dark has made a hobby into his life and his gameplay reflects his management of his life. He wanders around confused, asks for help (begging) all the time and falls victim to user error more often than most.

It's fine to not hate him for being trash at video games, but it's kinda fucking sad how incompetent he is and how frequently he misses obvious shit the game tells him when it's literally on the screen and he just glosses over it. Regarding being bad, it's literally what he does for a living and he has very little going on outside of that in terms of hobbies, so it's not like he's diluting his 'skills' in comparable fields. With missing obvious shit, it's either his refusal to wear glasses he obviously needs, an absurdly prominent case of tunnel vision (too frequently he'll be oblivious to anything not happening directly in the middle of the screen, even weird animation glitches he likes to clown over), or a combination of both.

You don't have to hate on him for being bad and blind, but it's absolutely unbelievable when you consider the whole picture.

He wouldn't be nearly so bad if his playstyle compensated otherwise. If he were, say, attentive to tutorials, or mindful of the resources and abilities at his disposal, or was willing to use reloads/continues to try different methods of overcoming obstacles, or was more conservative and careful during stealth sections or other moments when adversity was stacked against him, then he wouldn't be nearly so bad. But on top of his blindness he's reckless, willfully ignorant, obstinate, boring and wholly dismissive of the games he plays. His shit eyesight is just one aspect of his...spectrum of gameplay.

Says the man who basically killed his Youtube income by deleting popular videos because of trolls instead of just counter-claiming them or editing them out without mentioning the countless hours this man has ranted about them and spent on social media fighting them or complaining about them.

I cannot recall a single stream where he didn't complain about the trolls, this isn't even hyperbole, since his first day on Twitch, i cannot recall a segment that lasted more than an hour where he didn't complain about them.

This is a man who has been broken by the internet and the trolls to the point that it has actually become a parasitic relationship, he hates the trolls but needs them to not fall into obscurity and not go broke because of it.

DSP's chat has been almost completely taken over by Wings of Redemption trolls at this point. He has received just over 2000 bits in total so far, with 988 bits coming from "polishandy325", who constantly cheered Wings of Redemption-related stuff, and 538 bits coming from "vote_democrat", doing basically the same thing as he always does (throw money at DSP while asking stuff related to either politics or Wings of Redemption).

Together, these two are responsible for almost 75% of the total amount of bits so far today. And, as if it wasn't clear already, polishandy325 confirmed his intentions:

Also worth noting: DSP has received a $5 tip from Rob Warren today (who else?), a $1 tip and... that's it (I think). There's a total disconnect between what DSP's doing (playing a game, basically only giving a description of what is happening on screen) and what the chat is interested in (frogs, Wings of Redemption and mocking DSP).

Yeah... this is going downhill fast.

I get the feeling Phil is very annoyed by all of this, though he is keeping to himself about it for now. Knowing DSP, though, there probably will be a point where he can't keep quiet anymore and erupt into a rant.

They are an integral part of DSP's 'business' and his life. Regardless of whether they're there to troll or casually observe, short-term or long-term, whether they give him money or not, they are utterly inescapable. His mental faculties also leave much to be desired; and this isn't just a "he's a fucking idiot." It's his "this is how I always done things" while bitching "everyone is doing it the preferred way which gets them more views and better ads. They got the thumbnails, the right video length, I don't do that!" Why yes Phil, we know you don't do that, you're proud of not doing that. You even admit that the shit you don't do, leaves you with less views, lower quality ads, and whatever else would mean more money in your pocket. You shoot yourself in the foot and then cry foul, like the world is out to get you, when you openly declare you're doing shit wrong and making it harder on yourself. And that's really all part of his unwillingness to adapt. He's so damn lazy he wants to do things the way he always did it; even going to the extreme and ranting about... I forget which company, but they changed their motto or manufacturing focus or something to keep up with the times, and he goes off like they committed a cardinal sin. Nevermind, they're still doing well and not begging potential customers to buy their goods so they can stay in business.

There's also his choice of games. I understand there is a market and audience for them; but sports games are low on the hierarchy of games. And when it comes to RPG's, you need a gift to carry it through lulls and other dry spots; something I've found very few people have the knack for. Sure the games may have their audiences, but Phil can't carry a conversation to keep things interesting in any game he plays. He needs to get his mind sorted and decide what he really fucking wants out of his career/business; because he's his biggest detractor and the biggest obstacle that's holding him back.

For some reason Phil can’t understand that the reason so many people troll him everyday is because he makes it so much fun for them. He gives them what every bully wants, attention and a dramatic reaction. He has this need to fling shit back at everyone who insults him, maybe it’s a pride thing, but it only makes people want fuck with him more for the entertainment value.

This raised a related question in my head: how much of DSP's behavior is trollshielding? I ask because that's the only explanation I can think of for some of the things he does, like his ridiculous Twitter polls for what to play for his equally-laughable marathons. You know the ones - they're one of many things he's just as liable to ignore as listen to, just like his bi- monthly asking for feedback on how to improve his streams. He doesn't take anything to heart, so is he just doing these things so he can point to them later and say, "SEE I listen to my fans, dood!"?

That may sound like 4D chess but you're not going to convince me that anything requiring a blip of a brainwave whilst soaking in a sea of gin and flop sweat is actual work or effort. If Phil can do it from his phone it doesn't count for shit no matter how brilliant it might seem.
