Bottom line: These are not smears. Carl comprehensively said everything the press have laid out. They'll lay out more too, and the vast majority of claims will be things he has said and done. Nobody made him say 'I wouldn't even rape you' or wear a tiny suit. Carl is responsible for Carl and over time he has become a profound reactionary asshole who doesn't understand how politics works. He's a culture warrior first, prospective elected representative last. He doesn't care about public service or policy making, he's a bomb thrower who expects others to do the heavy lifting for him. That's why he's conducted himself so poorly.
If Carl knows anything about electoral politics, he would understand that Farrage's anti-UKIP pitch requires UKIP to act like a pack of lunatics. The public already hates Robinson, who is no better than a thug. Carl's antics are actively helping Farage steal the UKIP vote, perhaps not by much but enough that it could matter. However Carl is currently high off his own ego and remains oblivious until/unless batten gives him the kick.
That is not the mind of a balanced person who is ready for a big boy job. It's the mind of child, lashing out because nobody will give him any respect. Why should anyone do so? Gamergate 2.0? Acting like a bully? Trying to turn one man's lame shitpost into a proper campaign?

If a freak accident happens and he somehow gets elected then he will still be a joke. People like Carl will never be taken seriously. No, Dank has 0% chance of getting elected, they stuck him in the nosebleed section of a standing list of an area where at its height, UKIP only managed a single MEP. Carl's just being Carl.

Problem is Farage and J-RM have both condemned 'Islamophobia'. They want out of the EU but they're not going to take on the left in the culture war.
The UK doesn't have hate speech laws because of the EU - their origin is domestic and no one dares stand up to the left on this.

Considering the personalities we're dealing with here, I'd see Dank falling on his sword for Carl 100 times before the reverse, let's not forget Carl was pushing heavily for Dank to martyr himself for 'free speech' when he was facing jail time. Let's also not forget when the last Robinson prison sentence incident was going down, he had to be shamed into supporting him because Carl didn't want to 'risk himself or his family'. Based off of everything we've seen out of him, I just don't see him as the self-sacrificing type, his entire behavior and politics so far have boiled down to 'how can I keep myself comfortable'.

A leading Ukip candidate for the European elections argued that feminism was responsible for a rise in the number of men carrying out mass murders, because the killers felt disenfranchised and “out of options”, it has emerged.
Carl Benjamin, a social media activist who previously tweeted “I wouldn’t even rape you” to the Labour MP Jess Phillips, argued in a now-deleted YouTube video that feminism had caused male mental health to deteriorate, prompting more mass killings.
“This is what feminism has wrought – a generation of men who do not know what to do, who are being demonised for what they are,” said Benjamin, who uses the name Sargon of Akkad on social media.
“Before your stupid social justice feminist bullshit, it didn’t happen on this scale. It’s crazy – this is a disease of the modern age,” Benjamin said in the 2014 video, recorded after the murder of six people in California that year by a 22-year-old man who said the killings were a response to women rejecting him sexually.
“You are responsible for perpetuating it, by disenfranchising these poor fucking guys who don’t have any options left,” Benjamin said.
Benjamin is second on Ukip’s regional list for MEP candidates in the south-west of England should next month’s European parliament elections take place in the UK.
He was among two candidates paraded by Ukip’s leader, Gerard Batten, at a fractious press conference last Thursday, at which Benjamin responded angrily to journalists’ questions about the tweet to Phillips, saying he was being accused of “crimes against political correctness”. Phillips has said she received 600 rape threats after Benjamin’s tweet.
In the video, framed as a response to comments about the California killings by Laci Green, a feminist YouTube activist, Benjamin insists a number of times that he does not in any way condone violence and says he believes the murderer, Elliot Rodger, was mentally ill.
But Benjamin also argues that feminism is to blame for making some men feel marginalised and “demonised in society”, and thus more likely to turn to violence.
“The question you and all of your stupid fucking feminist cultists need to be asking is, why are these men becoming misogynists in the first place? What is this feminist-run society doing to them that is causing them to go insane?” he says.
He adds: “When someone takes the option of absolute, insanely last resort, you have to wonder what kind of system is producing them. And I tell you what, Laci, it is a fucking feminist system that’s doing this.”
Rodger, who killed himself after the murders, wrote a manifesto in which he described himself as an “incel”, or “involuntary celibate” – a term popular in some anti-feminist circles to describe men rejected sexually by women.
In the video, Benjamin expresses some sympathy for the plight of such men, addressing Green directly to say: “You are not a man. You cannot possibly know what drives a man has. And when someone tells you, you say, ‘He’s a terrible person. Fuck you.’”
Ukip has been approached for comment.

Sargon made a video screeching at the two of them that they are a couple of stupid, pretty, popular high school girls who don't know what it's like to be a real gamer or something. In the video about the court case, Dank talks about the stunt he pulled where he told the judge he would refuse to pay any fine or do any community service in hopes he'd get an immediate jail sentence, right before he was sentenced. He says at 3:42 that only three people knew about what was going to happen, Dank, his lawyer (who I believe he said was against it on twitter or a livestream), and Carl (who was saying in livestreams and, I believe, videos at the time that Dank should refuse paying the fine). Whether you support the decision to stand on principle or not is moot, the point is that Carl only stands on principle when others will suffer the consequences.
