Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I think a lot of people like this use abuse - real or imagined - as a shield against their own shitty behavior. I don't think it has much to do with outcome so much as a mental shield against themselves.
There is that aspect, true. They often display identity disassociatave behaviors. But it is also used as a very effective tool to manipulate. Since you're dealing with fundamentally damaged people with an agenda, it's often either/or/both as the situation dictates. I learned that lesson from a psychotic sister-in-law. she could be really creative with her victimhood and switch on a dime between victim and abuser... purely for the attention/power over others each could bring.

Why does Linkara look like a Downie H.P. Lovecraft?
It’s from this.

An aggressive lawfirm with UNLIMITED funds maybe. Ty said it would take 2 million dollars to get everyone. Vic does not have unlimited funds thus they are going after the biggest targets first.
can't they use settlement money to fund future lawsuits? also, it hasn't been discussed but in the event a judgement is given, what's the maximum a jury might give? after all, you know these flakes are going to piss off the jury with attempted threats.

I don't genuinely think Vic would use that money to go after more people, unless the Beard thoroughly convinced him it was in his best interests.

Doubt Vic would want to go after smaller people, that said, getting them to stop (setting a precendent against the current #metoo moral-panicking with lawsuits) would be beneficial to future men... so Vic should consider going after everyone eventually.

While Vic is a pretty good guy, he doesn't want any of this to go on longer than it has to. He already wishes he didn't have to sue anyone, I'm positive he doesn't want to be more of a figurehead for the animoo and metoo movement either.

unfortunately, all the things he wants are gone. dead. shot until they were jelly. by his own friends no less for no reason other than he's a white man.

if I could say one thing, just one thing, it's this; Jesus said to turn the other cheek. He said to forgive. He never said to stop the hammer of justice from falling onto those that deserve it.

not saying he needs to go after everyone, but whether he likes it or not he's going down in history books as the man that fought back. the question he needs to ask and answer is, does that story end there?

I'm pretty sure his answer is limited to and only including "I only want to get my reputation back, and I'm sorry that I have to sue my colleagues, it hurts me immensely to do this and nothing more."

and you know what? that's a fine conclusion. frankly? I can't think of a better conclusion to this saga.

of course, the tale isn't exactly over yet. never know. they may do something to actually piss vic off.

Well, MarzGurl already did that by attacking his mom. If MarzGurl wasn't going to be sued before, she sure will now.

It's almost like they're getting the "band" together now.
the wonder speds! coming to a comic store near you! with such classics as the "Manchildorian" Linkara, the "Brainless Woman" Marzgirl, the "Collapsible" Spoony, and your favorite, "Spergman" Doug Walker!

Fucking wow, just when you thought all these guys got a clue by jumping ship from TGWTG, they jump onto #KickVic batting for the side which is clearly going to get wrecked in court. I hope they go in hard, because the sheer fallout/autism generated would be amusing to watch.
