Why is she lying?
I suspect a build up of excuses for her failed channel & life coming our way. No gym membership, no healthy food hauls, no recipes/cooking videos, no walks in the beautiful Canadian weather, no daily videos/updates & certainly no berry picking.

By that i mean, she could be embellishing the story to make the situation more dire. I suspect the biggest diagnosis she got was "death fat obese". And by that I mean the majority of her symptoms are more then likely caused by her weight and abhorrent lifestyle. Something ain't adding up here. They think it's a pulmonary embolism? Sorry - but they're not going to release her without doing a significant amount of tests to determine whether it is a pulmonary embolism or not. It's a major, potential life-threatening, emergency. No doctor worth his weight in gold is going to take that risk. Now it's possible they would have released her had they concluded she was a low-risk patient - but that's not the case here. No, they haven't determined at all yet whether it was a pulmonary embolism and that alone would force them to do more tests to make sure she's safe for outpatient care.

Even then, though, it's very rare that someone diagnosed with a PE is released from the hospital same-day. In the US, only 15% of patients are discharged without inpatient stay:

Absolutely. They don’t send anyone home with a pulmonary embolism. When she arrived they told her tests they would run for the few really serious conditions her symptoms could indicate just to be safe. She just picked one that seemed the most alarming.

I wouldn't bet on that, since she's wearing the brand new top she recently got for her birthday (and has been wearing since, probably without washing it once). So while I believe she went to the ER last night, I would say the picture was taken while she was waiting to be evaluated by the nurse. Usually in Canada when you go at the ER, you are first put in a room to be evaluated by a nurse, THEN you wait to see the doctor. That can easily take +10h. I've seen people wait up to 23h before the moment they were evaluated by the nurse, to seeing the doctor (would have been quicker to just stay home and go to the regular clinic the next day, tbh). Chantal being monitored and making it home so quickly after showing up to the ER? I don't really buy it.

Another reason why I don't buy the PE thing is that usually you will not only be out of breath, but it will also be very painful (almost like a cardiac arrest) and you will cough A LOT. Sorry if this is PL, but I happened to have 3 different (non-related) people around me who got PE's and they were all coughing holding their chest and complaining bout the pain in the moments prior to ending at the ER.

So yeah. Chantal the 400lbs whale on CPAP is probably lying once more about why she's so out of breath. I would bet on the Arby's more than anything. Let's wait and see.
