As if anyone still watching GoT after eight seasons of rape, genocide, rape, torture, rape and more rape is going to say “wow, the deaths in battle of the Dothraki are just TOO MUCH, I quit three episodes from the end.”

People who were bothered by inclusivity et al stopped watching a looooong fucking time ago. The rest of us just want to see Cersei win what happens at the end.

They don't need Martin's permission to write the show, though. They asked him for all the plots and how they would end and either they ignored Martin or Martin trolled them with vague or false info.

I think what likely happened was that (this is made up, not spoiler, I swear!) Martin told them, for example: "well, Sansa kills Jaime after she casually finds herself with the chance to avenge her family" and they thought "wouldn't be better if we turn Sansa into an empowered woman and a warrior so she looks more powerful when she kills Jaime?".
 
I'm trying to think where do people go after game of Thrones is over. Everything fantasy related in TV and games is kinda fucked.

Elder Scrolls: not coming out for a few years, bethesda fucked blades so hard that it and Fallout 76 might wind up being killed early, you have the MMO but fuck MMos
Diablo: Fucking dead
Warcraft: Dying a slow death
Lord of the Rings: nothing happening on this front outside of people getting the data to make private LOTRO servers. Amazon series looks like it could be a big mess but it's years away.
Witcher: CDPR is making Cyberpunk first, you have the cardgame but it isn't much, Netflix series keeps getting delayed.
Dragon Age: BWAHAHAHAHAHA OH OH OH HAHAHAHA
Dungeons and Dragons: hasbro is planning a revival for like 2020 or 2021 due to the movie. People are waiting to see if Bumblebee was an accidentally competent movie or if they're actually getting serious with making real movies.
Magic the Gathering: It's currently being run into the fuck ground
Warhammer: It's still too fucking expensive and all the non-total war games have not done well
Masters of the universe: Mattel will never handle the property right and Super 7 is working hard to kill the fanbase
Conan: Dead. maybe getting some small line if action figures but they don't look good

Or, this is actually how GRRM wants the plot to end. Be wary of the “this sucks so it can’t be canon” trap.

I remember when the epilogue to Deathly Hallows was leaked online and the HP fandom was almost completely united in screaming “lolololol this is so fake its so bad i mean ALBUS SEVERUS my sides are in orbit”

Many people got a bad surprise on release night.

I recommend The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. It's good shit and he actually finished it unlike that food and loli and incest obsessed fat alcoholic GRRM.

I was one of those people, LMAO.

You'r right: it could end very bad, but some things are impossible to happen. Say, Shireen will burn, but not in the way it happened in the show. It's impossible it happens in the books as it happened in the show because of certain logistic. Sansa is also gonna be too far from Ramsay to have that ridiculous wedding. Jaime and Brienne also are going to have soon a meeting with Stoneheart, who doesn't exist in the show.

I also doubt Rhaegar Targaryen named both of his sons "Aegon". There is some ridiculousness about the show that cannot happen in the books because GRRM is not r/etarded.
