I can believe the dilaudid story. Doctors can idiots sometimes. I was waiting for ovarian cyst surgery and my gyno told me he didn't want me taking Tylenol 3s, he "doesn't prescribe opiates", then handed me a script for dilaudids. I ended up not filling the script and getting a script for percs from my g.p who rolled his eyes at the gyno.

The Chantal's of the world take away time and resources from people who need help and actually want to be helped. They are frustrating in every aspect to deal with. Is she schizo? She always does those shifty eyes in the car and I noticed she went to this blood lab twice before opening, which must be hard for a night person. I also find it weird she goes to that specific lab which is runned by a company called "Dynacare", they have 20+ locations in the Gatineau/Ottawa area and the location she went to is one of the furthest for someone living on the Gatineau side.

I disagree with you in the sense that most people in the medical field absolutely do have a sense of compassion, caring, and consideration. When they lose that humanity their career takes an unhappy turn. Patients get judged all the time. In a perfect world it mightn't be so, but we do not live in a perfect world. Doctors, and to a lesser extent nurses, might be held to a high standard beyond reproach, but they are still people. People have subconscious biases that absolutely influence how they interact with people. The fear of being perceived as judgmental is a big reason why doctors are reticent to bring up the issue of weight with their patients. While I'm sure that the Chantal's and other frequent flyers are not "the worst", they are certainly frustrating to deal with. Judging doesn't have to violate the "do no harm'" oath of the medical field, but it also doesn't mean that any beneficence extended isn't also to interest of the staff and other patients. In other words, placate our 400lbs kvetching gorl who refuses to correlate all of her complaints to her self induced obesity so that they can move on to those who truly are in need of their services. Hopefully she did get competent care. However, even the best care from the best doctors cannot save her from herself.

I think the other thing we have to keep in mind in regards to drugs is that she's gigantic. Her Innohep dose is three times what it would be if she were at a normal weight according to the chart I found. I'm sure she needs more Tylenol than most people.

I tried to research pain management in the super morbidly obese but got bored before I came across anything conclusive - but there might be a reason for the Dilaudid in there too. I at least got as far as certain pain killers are much preferred for treating the super morbidly obese because others just don't have enough of an affect. There was also information somewhere that certain types of blood thinners were not used on people her size (maybe it was certain iterations of Warfarin?) and that limited the potential treatments for her alleged PE.

Re: medical staff and their feelings about patients. Professionalism is treating a person with skill and care despite how you feel about them. And medical personnel feel all kinds of ways about patients because they are as human as the people they're treating. I guarantee you that the phlebotomists at the blood draw clinic are not throwing a party every time they see her name on the schedule, but a good one will treat her with respect and find the vein as quickly as possible. RN, there is some major flooding and the bridge that connects Gatineau to Ottawa was closed down. It may have opened at this point but I honestly think she lives on the Ontario side.

ETA: I am wondering if she lives in Community Housing in Ottawa. It makes sense seen as how the apartment is infested with rodents and roaches and god knows what else. The rent would be geared to income and well, we know she doesn't have a steady income. This could be one of many reasons why Bibi (if he is her boyfriend) wants to stay out of her dumb vlogs in case she gets caught having someone live there that shouldn't be and gets an eviction notice.

I’m almost positive she lives in “community housing” or as we call it in the states - government housing, the ghetto, the HUD hood. It has the nasty beaten look of shabby public housing and it’s in a rundown area. If she was actually paying cash money rent she wouldn’t stay in such a infested roach motel for years, but since it’s low cost govt housing she stays put because it’s hard to get an subsidized unit due to demand.

Since it’s two bedroom I figure they expect Bibi or someone else to be living there. They don’t give a two bedroom unit for one person. It would also explain why Bibi has stuck around - he can’t afford an apartment on his ow so is stuck in the govt subsidized unit with Chantal.

Chantal hasn’t worked in ages and even when she did work it sounds like sporadic crap jobs she couldn’t manage for long. She can’t afford rent on her YT income - just fastfood binges and shopping online for garbage. Grams buys all her groceries and plays for her car.
