Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I apologize for double posting, but I thought it'd be apt to remind people: Arin never finished high school, so it's safe to assume his ability to realize anything but the crownings in his pants every day, is pretty minuscule.

That's what happens when you block out the criticism coming from your fanbase and instead surround yourself with paid yes men.

Gonna miss the little jabs/interruptions with Game Grumps though. Shit was weird.

Hell, not even kidding: right at the time they announced their departure, Oney just went and posted this:

Which many people have taken, given his recent jabs at GG and the fact that he admitted he and SuperMega have kinda butted heads before, as referring to SM leaving the office. Probably a coincidence; would be pretty funny if it wasn't.
wonder how long until they realize how much better their lives are without the sperg grumps around

Super Mega talk about GG's new editor on their podcast for a second:

Some guy named Ben from a "rap group" called Buckwheat Groats...a quick google brings up this:

A really really strange fit for Grumps if you ask me, considering Arin's attempt to clean up his humor...but he is also a wannabe rapper so I guess I see why he'd go for this dude. I guess time will tell

I wonder if he's the one behind those weird thumbnails/titles of the uploads from the past few weeks.

I think they mentioned that the Grumps are allowing them to still use the recording space temporarily until they can get their own space, so there might be some more “lol xD” intrusions in their recordings by the absolutely comedic interns, but hopefully not for long.

And you can tell throughout they just want to get over the Grumps and put that shit behind them. Fortunately the boys have good people on their side, so it won’t be so bad.

There, just cut their staff of 25 down to 8. I understand these people may be friends and what-not, but business and business, and when you start sinking, you need to lose weight.

They don't need 25 or 8, they literally just need two people.

Old school LPer Raocow has been doing let's plays for over a decade, with multiple uploads per day, and all the editing done by himself, AND he has a part time job on the side iirc. He still never misses a day. If he can do all that by himself then Arin and Dan can play a video game for 20 minutes a day and do minimal editing between the two of them.

That's probably why Penn and Teller have been together for years. Outside of business stuff, and going to each others kids birth, they never contact each other outside of work.
Wow I actually didn't know that. Makes sense though. If I were in a comedy duo I wouldn't want to look married to my partner...Hey speaking of!

That's a problem I'm noticing with GG. Arin & Dan's relationship looks so strained that people even parody Dan's apathy and disinterest when making fun of them. Likely a product of being around each other all the time: on GG, on GGLive tours, Starbomb recordings, and likely in just every day affairs.

Paycheck was probably good.

However, a steady paycheck will only make up for having to put up with BS for so long.

For what it's worth: on their latest podcast they called GG a safety net in case their channel wasn't doing well due to relative inactivity.

Tbh I would probably like Dan just doing solo streaming talking about life-stuff or even try the Joe Rogan route.. Seems to be his element he has a decent candor to him and I'd love to see him interact with a different person every time. The only problem is that most of the games he'd play would be old as dirt and uninteresting.

I don't think Dan would really prefer being too active online in the scenario he and Arin split. Seems like he would probably focus more on his music to mature that career path. I expect he'd do well too, because there's very little chance that even if there was a split would it be his fault.
My chips are all in on Arin.

Same with Jim Henson and Jane Nebel (later Henson) during the Sam and Friends day, they only were seen together when it came to their work and were seeing other people at the time. Having a passionate relationship that got in the way of their work would spell disaster.

This reminds me of what was going on with the band in Metalocalypse. When they formed the band they took a vow to never show any kind of interest in each others personal lives. One episode was about them lamenting how none of them had friends because they considered each other co-workers. Arin would probably fit in with them to some extent, they never want to do any work and are a bunch of idiots.

But they're funny.
