Had a shower thought, but I have to ask. If Jamie Marchi, Monica Rial, etc etc brought the lawsuit to Vic FIRST, would anything have changed? A lot of the Kick Vic side is raring to go to court, they welcome the challenge, but the very obvious question pops up-if they feel that way, why didn't they try to take Vic to trial themselves? Why did they wait to get sued? Google-sensei told me that in order for a criminal trial to go underway, one of the first steps is for the defendant to get arrested, which I guess really explains why they couldn't take the initiative and had to wait to get sued in order to go to court.

Strange ... I guess I'll just wait to see more, but this is the second picture I've seen where he's not putting his arm around a chick's shoulders. I wonder if something happened between KamehaCon and Tupelo.

This is only civil litigation court though, not a criminal one.

The day the internet stopped caring

It must have been building a long time. It started in small ways, at first. Mob mentality ruled the day, but a few small groups of people didn't yell as loud, or didn't muster as much righteous fury. The scandals got more and more outrageous, and the fevered pitch would grow, but not at the same rate. Eventually, it took tremendous allegations to stoke the fires. And while many warmed themselves with those fires, others found them cold, and withering.

The voices against such actions were always there, but slowly they started growing. Not like an avalanche or an earthquake - those moments were quick and chaotic. Instead, like erosion, the voices of the few started lapping against the thrown rocks of many. And like erosion, the effect was felt more and more as time went on. It grew in power.

It's not certain when the SJW-filled, soy-fueled, outraged orca crowd became the minority. The more zealous could argue they always were. However, what can be certain is the moment they realized the truth. That day, a thousand pseudo-abused women cried out for the aid of the internet, screeching for it to "help them."

And the internet turned away from them, leaving them to their outrage, as they slowly whispered "No."

This is that story, and the aftermath that followed.

I know im late to the party (been out for a bit doing life things, and I don't use social media anymore) but catching up on Nick's stream and I saw that Jim Cummings was hit by the Metoo thing

But PLEASE let Pete Darkwing the Pooh join this epic anime crossover with Elon musk, Vic Mignona, the american comics industry etc. Now if you excuse me im going to catch up on the last 80 (yes 80) pages

Wouldn't take much to bury Marzgurl. She had to crowdfund for her cat's medical expenses (more likely, she needed rent money), so paying for litigation would be the financial equivalent of tossing her into the bottomless pit in Revelations..
