If she was we would be having a very clearly bs investigation concluding he was a big bad predator
The Sony HR investigation that lead to Vic's firing apparently was inconclusive according to Nick, FUNi just fired him anyways and used the investigation as a way to make that stupid tweet implicating the investigation came out with bad stuff, When it actually didn't according to a VA that contacted Nick (which Nick confirmed wasn't Vic) and Monica stupidly confirmed it somewhat by confirming the jellybean story Nick got from said unnamed VA.
BUT even if Monica and Ron were somehow telling the truth about some super secret info from the investigation that didn't include the three stories, that would mean they didn't notify Vic on what came out of the investigation and that would actually be illegal and Vic could easily go after FUNi for that

IIRC both MarzGurl and Samantha Inoe-Hart(?) herself said she was part of the investigation. But since they're both proven liars take it with a big grain of salt.

I just wonder what Toei's stance is. It seems like they want nothing to do with it,but at some point if all this keeps making funimation look worse and bad publicity if they will be forced to do something.

Are Sony and Funimation even in sync with each other, despite one being a subsidiary to another? I'm pretty sure Sony did not expect Funimation to announce that there was an investigation along with the stayed purpose for Vic being let go of Funimation. This couldn't have been allowed by Sony. That would mean that they're breaking Texas Workforce Commission guidelines by having what would be considered an incomplete investigation, assuming that what Ty's notice pleading said was true.

It's almost as if that was their strategy all along: to repeat the lie so often that 'the controversy' becomes the evidence. Hm.

I've been wondering this as well. Funimation is basically the representative of Dragon Ball (and others, but Dragon Ball and it's characters are HUGE), with many of the VAs going so far as to heavily associate themselves with the characters. The bad behavior of the VAs in some way is damaging the Dragon Ball brand. I can't imagine Toei watching all this with a care free smile.

Japan probably thinks we're crazy enough with all the fuss ANN and the SJWs kick up over new anime, I wonder if this cluster fuck looks to them.

Settlements and non-disclosure agreements won't remove the taint of being labeled of being a rapist and a pedophile as far as the normies are concerned. Through if Funi, Rial and company completely and utterly fuck up in court and in front of the general public to where they're the ones begging for the settlements and non-disclosure agreement. Maybe then a settlement might cleared Vic reputation, otherwise he almost need a crushing win in court.

I take a break from this thread for a whole week and I come back to find that we’ve almost reached 1300 pages. And now I hear that Jim Cummings is in trouble as well? Damn, this has been one crazy ride...

Could a settlement also include a public retraction? I'd figure that would be pretty important, given that these assholes destroyed his reputation so publicly.

Not sure that a court can force a public retraction, in the case that they lose. But losing would be public.

Sony bought funimation almost entirely for the licenses they had, since sony wants to make yet another streaming service. Funimation is run essentially no differently than it was before buyout, aside from becoming even lazier now that any time something comes up, they don't have to fix a problem, they can beg daddy sony for resources, like how they were unable to handle an hr investigation on their own.
