Kamehacon US: "LOOK AT ALL THIS MONEY. WE'RE DROWNING IN MONEY! MAN I'M SO GLAD I DECIDED TO STICK TO THE CONTRACT I MADE INSTEAD OF BEING SUED FOR BEING WOKE ENOUGH TO NOT ACCEPT FREE, NO STRINGS ATTACHED MONEY!"

Kamehacon UK: yeah no that's okay i don't like money

(Seriously, though, if they had to throw away the whole con, I don't think it's because of Vic specifically. Just a thought: they might have been harassed in the same way as their US counterpart, but they were far more beleaguered and just folded altogether like their US counterpart is threatening to do in the immediate future.)

The US version made so much with Vic this year that it might have fixed their problems. One can only hope, although they may still just be disgusted with all the drama.

Yeah, first year: Sean Schemmel throws a bitch fit, gets another Goku VA kicked, because he's fragile ego can't handle the mere existence of other Goku VAs.
Second year: Sabat, Rial, Toye harassing the con owner into considering quitting altogether over the Vic situation.

I wouldn't be shocked if he steps down, at the very least.
Edit: he, being the con owner.

Also, could there also be an issue with Toei, since KamehaCon UK isn't blaming the fans?

Has anyone spoken about this yet?
Is this guy just crazy or has some places actually blacklisted Monica?

I hope you guys know that I'm actually talking about eggs here, I'm not trying to be fucking clever.
Yeah, agreed. Honestly, this whole shitshow is basically Monica destroying her career and shitting on the rubble for good measure; hell, I'm willing to bet that in the future, cons and companies will be a lot less likely to hire her. I'm not saying that she'll be COMPLETELY jobless, but she won't have the clout she used to have and she'll have no one but herself to blame.

... Okay, that's not entirely true. We can put a lot of blame on Ronny boy too.
I'm really looking forward to the day when Ty shows off all the evidence provided to him by all the cons she and her cuckold fiance and extra boyfriend tried to subjigate. I bet they are itching to taste sweet revenge.

I dunno about that. It would be one thing if their US counterpart actually legit folded, but they didn't and it ended up paying off for them HUGE. Seeing their success is enough for me to give it the old college try. But they just folded way too easily and they made themselves look even worse by framing the fans and community for being the ones at fault for the cancellation. That's a real quick way to lose supporters.
But honestly, if they were gonna pussy out that hard then I'm glad they're gone. Good riddance. Make room for cons that actually wanna make money, have fun, and support the fans.

It’s weird. They said it’s because of problems within the fandom, but not the fans directly.

And that sounds both incredibly suspicious, and a bit like a parent trying to scold a kid.

Something that likely wouldn't need to be said otherwise.

Kameha Con UK only had one guest lined up for their event in August, so their decision to cancel Kameha Con UK indefinitely has nothing to do with Vic or the community, it's that they don't know how to run a con.

You know how you run a con or any other viable business?

You fucking live up to your contracts.

You don't breach them because "woke."

You obey the goddamn law.

Vic dodged a bullet by avoiding the UK.

Yeah, sounds like they have other reasons for cancelling the event but are using the current shitshow as a scapegoat. Lame.

That's an odd timeline though. They announced Vic after kickvic had already started then booted him a week and a half later?

Interesting, Sonny Strait is the one who has been accused of having "lost his nerve" after he and Schemmel made that series of videos all but calling Vic a pedophile, so nobody likes him as best I can tell.

Get woke, lose all your friends when your common sense finally beats you into submission...

This is the first I'm hearing about this. Could be a classic case of galaxy brain kickvic idiocy in the form of flapping their gums and giving us nice juicy info instead of keeping it to their hugbox. If it's true, that would actually be hilarious AND it would make sense and here's why:

Monika right now has bad rep. They are probably thinking that she's gonna be a diva and cause trouble if something she doesn't like happens and she doesn't make nearly as much revenue as Vic. His lines are 3 hours long and she'd probably be lucky to have over 40 people so it's way more lucrative to have Vic rather than some bat shit insane saggy tittied bitch who's more like to stir up trouble along with her SJW followers. Because it's been known that she's an aggressive harasser and tries/threatens to sabotage and black mail con owners to force them to comply to her wishes. Hence why they are so eager to stab her in the back when the situation presents itself.

I don’t know that we have heard anything specific about this. But it certainly would not be surprising that multiple cons have independently opted to not hire or invite Rial. There is a difference between “blacklisting” where competing businesses within the same industry communicate and collude behind the scenes to deny you work on the basis of non public information. And you committing career suicide by publicly attacking cons, breaching contracts and extorting businesses to break the contracts of others, loudly publicly and in the media. The person who effectively blacklisted Monica is Monica and Monica alone.

As for the notion of other VA's "Blacklisting" her? The stunt she pulled at Kamehacon would be a problem for them. She breached her contract with the con, then organized and put up a competing local event to draw guests away from the Con, and their tables, across town to her. Her stunt wouldn't have cost Kamehacon a dime. But it certainly had the potential to reduce her colleagues earnings on the weekend. That "no competing events" clause in the contract isn't there to protect the Con. It is there to protect and give value to all the invited guests as a whole. And the other VA's are perfectly allowed to decline a con's invite if Rial is involved. It isn't a breach, a threat or extortion if they have not yet signed a contract or accepted the invitation. They can ask "Who's going to be there?" and say "no."

You will notice that Kamehacon did not invite Sean back the second year. Even while they were piling on every other DB VA? Yeah, see above regarding Monica Rial. Act like a problem causing nutcase, don't get invited for more work.

Weeks ago in this thread i compared this event to watching a flaming plane crash in slow motion.
This has been delivering far to much entertainment and going on for far to long to be a mere plane crash.
This is more like watching a giant asteroid enter orbit. Just when you think it can't get any worse... it blows up due to the pressure and takes out 3 major cities instead of just 1.

Now we just have to wait for everything to hit the ground and count the bodies.

I mean i have no idea why they thought themselves important enough to put a dent in actual sales or satisfaction of customers.
They were banking on the conventions perception that them leaving would cause the problem. So because one of them was convinced by fans to call the bluff and see what would happen... and as a result vic has been shown to be ASTONISHINGLY more important and more lucrative than all of them put together they have lost that "potential threat" Now conventions see that not only do the fans want him.... but it doesn't even matter if other people leave. No one gives a shit.

They shot themselves in the foot twice. I would not be shocked if word was going around and the new consensus was to keep this psycho bitch out.
