Part of bariatric recovery is learning how to eat MINDFULLY. That means eating slowly, chewing a lot, and with no distractions (ie: screens); to sit and be very conscious of what you are doing.
This is the antithesis of a mukbang or eating show. Talking through the whole thing, chewing maybe twice, oftentimes not even seated at a proper table (car mukbangs).

Now that she has shared: 1.) her desire to lose weight 2.) all of her weight related health problems 3.) all of her mental problems surrounding food, the idea of this woman doing mukbangs/eating shows AT ALL is absolutely asinine!! Even if it’s “healthy” food, it’s not a healthy way to consume food.

If she is not consciously eating, she will not feel as though she has eaten and will wind up binging off camera anyway.

Chantal is circling a drain very quickly. She will never go back to her carefree mukbang days, we all know too much now.

it's really ....I can't think of the right word right now; somewhere between upsetting and fucking absurd, that she has this instinct to run to the hospital. How many times has she wanted to go to "psych emerg"?? ALL they can do is give you an assessment, mostly to determine if you're a danger to yourself. If yes, you stay 72hrs, if no, they send you home. What does she think they are going to do for her? She already put herself on waiting lists for public psych care and didn't show up (which is a shitty thing to do)

It's like...sis, they don't wheel you in to "psych emerg" and wheel you out with your problems solved. If she's this distressed about it, then why doesn't she take it seriously. What is crying on camera going to accomplish? Instead of grasping at all these stupid far-reaching things just focus on ONE tangible thing: find a local psychiatrist who can help you, and start there.
