Absolutely. If they don't want the publicity of this continuing to play out after they settle, they may choose to settle all claims, though.

I don't think Funimation or Sony will want to take ownership or in any way indemnify the TI shit with the Cons. They will settle the stuff that directly touches them. I don't think they will willingly take ownership of Soye in any regard. They will want to sever themselves from this mess.

Ty has no reason to be nice to Ron, especially after that bogus ethics complaint. If one defendant is going to get nailed, it's going to be him.

I think Funimation will happily team up with Ty to kick RonRon repeatedly in the balls. Just so long as they get to put the boot in a bit. That soy filled dipshit has brought them a lot of grief for somebody they don't employ.

It's a good, relevant speech and it deserves to be heard. It's as much of a direct answer to the people being discussed in these threads as we'll get from him since this started or, likely, ever. It made me emotional and touched me in places I've never been touched before

I think they will want to settle for nothing more than that one tweet and will be glad to offer testimony that Ron Toye has absolutely nothing to do with them, is not their agent, should not have had their privileged internal information, was not representing them, and is basically an absolute lying sack of shit in every way.

Part of their settlement will be to admit they now see flaws in their investigation, apologize for it, claim they were fed bad info and retract the investigation.

Yes this is absolutely true, but they will have to make some kind of statement as part of a settlement. Maybe not an apology exactly, but something.

I suspect something that Vic is going to really want is a public statement and perhaps guaranteed work. I would be surprised if he agreed to a settlement without a public statement - he needs his reputation restored.

Seems whoever ran the blog got spooked when it was dropped into the suit as a source of evidence and has decided to delete it.

Random thought.

Can you imagine having to be Casey, and explaining to the judge that you need to amend your complaint because the PULL thread is now 404 because PULL moved shit around, and the Tumblr BLOG POST was deleted apparently in response to being cited by him?

And that's presuming someone is nice enough to point out to Casey that archived versions exist.
