Im reminded of a story about Harrison Ford getting pissed at Shia Labouf after he said in an interview that Indiana Jones 4 sucked. Ford told him to always sell the movie positively even if you dont like it because if it does poorly it reflects on the actors.

According to Nick, things seem to be going much more amicably between funi and Beard, they also have literally zero reason not to settle this, they have the most to lose, especially when punitive damages are added in. Being owned by sony is only going to hurt them there.

And that bridge to Sony is something that needs to be burned. So long as Funi is in the suit they risk intrusive discovery finding something that at a minimum embarrasses Sony or worse implicates them..

I believe that bridge to Sony is what will turn the tide. When the deep pocket sees this dumpster fire they will force their subsidiary to settle. Which then leaves the amigos adrift in the ocean of stupid and funi will yank away their life preservers.

Should be putting in an OP update tomorrow. It will largely be additions to existing chapters thanks to new information coming out. Like the Khameacon tweets. Only thing I am torn on is adding the mall ninja to the main cast. He's driven the drama lately but I don't know if he's actually part of this specifically. On the other hand we do have Mike Ensley in the main cast and he has been in his fortress of solitude with Samantha Harte since March.

I'd leave the mall ninja out. He's like Shane, only if Shane had no contacts to anyone involved, no pretend information from behind the scenes, and no interest in the bigger picture. I think now that mall ninja's attempts at bluster and subsequent attempts at getting back pats have both failed, he's going to vanish without having contributed more than a footnote to the larger picture. Seems like a waste of space to add him to the OP.

Now here's a purely hypothetical thought but... Imagine digging into this and uncovering that Vic's ex was also pushing and encouraging things behind the scene. Probably not too likely a scenario as I don't know how much contact she would have had with the anime community but there's a possibility.

His ex is a voice actress and she lists Funimation as an employer on her Facebook.

Despite being openly kickvic, she's scheduled to be at the Neutral Zone Studios event this weekend with Vic and other Star Trek Continues people. Should be awkward, hope we get good updates.

The most concerning part to me out of all that is 'sense 2 years old' considering the things you'd due with a two year old involved physical contact as kids enjoy it........ If that's what they consider inappropriate then man, they really need to learn a thing or two.
