I started with the impression that where there's smoke there's fire, and it seemed like a lot of people were actually making accusations from experience, so he had to have done something even if it might have been less serious than claimed. The more I looked into it, though, the more the basis for the claims were vaporous or otherwise nonexistent. For instance, one of the lead accusers, Pridemore, lied about Todd Haberkorn in an easily provable way. Then another, Inoue-Hart, staged a blatantly bogus swatting complete with manufactured evidence including photos re-used from a previous also bogus incident.

And since, Ron Toye has been repeatedly brazenly lying about all kinds of things, even things you could check for yourself, and even in a sworn document to the Bar Association, where he made again, provably false claims that were easily falsified. And Jamie Marchi is coming up with ridiculous literal "dog ate my blinds" level stories that would embarrass a teenager caught with weed.

Why should we believe any of these people about things we have no factual basis for when they all blatantly lie about easily proven things? If they even will just flat out belt out a total whopper about shit that can be checked, how can they be taken seriously about anything at all?

My initial thoughts as well. I was initially convinced by the arguments that dozens of seemingly unrelated women wouldn't lie about something serious like that.

I randomly dropped in on Nick's stream once, and glad I did. Now that words like "civil conspiracy" are bandied around I can see how seemingly unrelated woman might have the same story.

Again, this case, Nick Rekieta, and KiwiFarms have taught me more about our legal system (albeit the Texan flavor of it) than all my years in school.

There have been some ridiculously educational cases covered on this shitposting forum.

1) The lolsuit with Maddox had some of the worst legal writing I've ever seen from an alcoholic dog bite lawyer.
2) Russell Greer's cases have had some nice writing from the judges, giving an intro to civ pro which Russ himself is too dumb to learn anything from, but anyone else who read them would.
3) Meyer v. Waid is also a great intro case for Texas tortious interference, and hilarious because for some reason, these SJW bop clowns can't stop committing TI in Texas, literally the worst state in the country to do that.
4) Alex Mauer getting sued. That also had Leonard French, who is himself a good IP lawyer YouTuber.
5) The Quarterpounder suit was pretty clownshoes but funny.
6) The lolsuit where Jon Monsarrat sued that dumb fucker Zaiger and we learned that sometimes, hiring the absolute best lawyer you can find to fight some complete nonsense that any lawyer could have gotten dismissed is a giant disaster even when you win.

What I've learned is that, for whatever reason, English-dubbed anime VAs have this hang-up about "being better." They think their personal beliefs are superior, they way that they vote (and who they vote for) is better, that they assume that the people who watch them should share their values. D.C. Douglas, this... stupid motherfucker, took a selfie of himself in a public uni-sex restroom because, what..., he thinks the people telling Monica and Soye to fuck off with their lies and slander are somehow scared of trannies? Is that the "inside" joke? Is he that "woke" and high-brow?

Here's the conclusion I've reached, based on the evidence above: voicing Japanese cartoons in English causes mental illness. It's the only thing that makes sense with these people. For some bizarre reason, either Vic is A: immune to the process, or B (more likely): he realizes that it's just a job and goes about the motions that a normal dude in his position does: keeps his fans happy, makes money and gets ass when he can. Little wonder these lunatics hate him; he's nothing like them.

Also if you did power rangers shtick, Johnny Young Bosch you are immune, basically it's less so about voicing japanese cartoons that make you insane, more so "location, location, location." It seems Funimation is a pretty toxic/cutthroat environment. It's that has bred this insanity. Though another is that it could be the less the VA as a direct cause and more so attribution of Thots and Beta Culture infecting things. I think that's more so the issue.

That and people basically being exactly what they call Vic, being Divas. Which spoilers, want to know one trait that all involved in this mess save Vic have shown? Taking your fans for granted and seeing them as little more than expendable sheep when they show sensibility, and forgetting they are the ones that support you in this industry.

Being professional is meaningless, because consumers are inherently stupid and will forget all character flaws unless something catastrophic like the lawsuits happen to them.

People will forget D.C. Dickless the RL Kamoshida/Kira said and did such deranged things, unless he's also responsible for tortoise interference. These are my most cynical thoughts on English dub VAs and this drama.
