Here's a stupid idea. Since DSP reads this thread, I'll give it to him free of charge.

Why don't you buy the game from a physical store, then after you are done playing it, since you will never play it again, you can auction it autographed to your loyal fanbase? You'd probably get most of your money back or maybe even make a profit.

Oh wait, because the trolls will buy it instead and not pay him, even though that's not how eBay works.

He can trade the game in and give the case away as a prize. His autograph is worth more than anything Tevin has ever done in his life.

So I was going over his Patreon today just to laugh at how low it's fallen and see how little effort he's putting in for his $434 a month and I noticed one of his pledge goals is to ask him a question in Ask the King ($20 to ask DSP a question... sounds fair). So when he gets rid of Ask the King are those patrons just going to get the screw job?

Also wanted to note that he posted on his Patreon "I'll be keeping the most popular donations levels LOW so that as many people as possible can be a part of the Patreon experience!" but his lowest pledge level is $5 and it rapidly escalates from there.

I seriously don't think he's updated this since November 2018.

You made me remember something funny,in one of Mister Metokur streams Jim is watching an ask the king video, remember how you can pledge 20 dollars to have you question answered? At 1:18:49 He says:
"Ok,next question *looks at paper with questions*...we are out of time so im gonna skip a few of these to go for some of the best ones"
Fucking lol,his fans pay him 20 dollars for him to answer a question and he skips them.Sorry if the volume is too low I dont know why that happened.

He hasn't. And let's be honest - in what world will Ask The King ever be relevant again? You can just throw a 50 bit cheer at him and have him answer any question you like (or not, because he enjoys his no-answers).
I've read somewhere that his Phoenix Wright playthrough is a Patreon goal that he hit 6 months ago or something. Don't quote me on that, but he has given up on his Patreon at this point.

He hasn't. Otherwise it would look like this for the current month and year.

By the way, that bottom part about "recent posts" is unedited. Actually real.

You know, I love to give people the benefit of the doubt, even our own pigroach. I think it's entirely possible he didn't actually ignore any question and he just did that to be funny. Like he wanted to give the impression that he's this hilarious ironic entertainer that randomly just misses questions. I mean, it might be a little stretch, but far less likely is the idea that he would knowingly just piss off people that give him money on camera, on recording.

Trust me it's not that far-fetched. We all know how basic is level of humor is. To him, pretending to skip past questions makes him funny.

His Gamestop is 3.3 miles away, too far dood can't afford the gas even though Taco Bell is right next to it.
"The Space Needle is only a 45 minute drive, it costs literally nothing to drive there..."

Phil doesn't have $50 for a game. And if he did have $50 he doesn't have the $5 for sales tax.

Does anyone know how much it costs for Phil and Kat to go out to eat for three meals on Phil's day off? Hint: Phil said a meal for himself at Wendy's is "like $20"

It costs nothing; nudnik! It's called using a credit card.

He belches, snorts, and crushes water bottles into the mic. The contempt he has for his audience has never been implicit. I'd say skipping questions, especially if they're "hard" or he just doesn't feel like answering them, deliberately to piss off the asker would not at all be unusual or not true-to-form.

"You want me to go out and interact with people more than once a week? Sure... Whatever... Not even gonna address it."

But pledging $20 to his Patreon is far from the only way to ask him questions: there's also the dedicated thread on the TKOH forums, Twitter and the chat. A $20 pledge will give a guaranteed answer, while he might skip questions received in other ways. It has always been like that.

When watching the original Ask the King video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-G1HPACYTU at 14:50), there's no indication whatsoever he's skipping actual Patreon questions. He's just skipping random questions that could've come from anywhere.

Lol, now he says the game's $50 and complains about $1 tips because of the fee that Paypal takes.

-edit- And here is the part you mentioned from when he just got back from mid-stream break, @big ups liquid richard:

"Everyone is saying the game is $49.99 plus taxes, so I need to raise like 55, 60 bucks
to cover tax"

:story: :stress:

-edit2- Someone just tipped him $25, bringing the current total tips to $67. DSP just said he will "try tomorrow" to buy the game.

Clipped his reaction:

"Yeah, that's definitely enough to cover it, I'd think. I WOULD THINK. So, I guess I'll try it tomorrow. Fair enough... fair enough."

He hates the thought of having to spend money on that game now SO HARD, it just oozes out of his him. :story:

I can already predict his after-stream tweet:

"Great stream today of a not so great Team Sonic Racing online experience, but with LOTS of support of my viewers. Due to my fans' generosity, I'll be playing A Plague Tale tomorrow! Let's get HYPED! Looking forward to it already!
<insert a .gif that doesn't really have much to do with the actual tweet>"

imagine being so greedy that you even have to beg to pay the taxes on a 40 dollar game. like holy shit. i can see it already if phil was homeless
"person gives phil a dollar"
phil: can i get 25 cents tacked onto that? for taxes...

like holy shit phils whole world seems to revolve around taxes, shouldve been a fucking actuary at this point. fuck that business degree

like holy shit phils whole world seems to revolve around taxes, shouldve been a fucking actuary at this point. fuck that business degree

The amazing part is that he doesn't even set aside money for federal taxes because "he can't afford it dood; muh bills", so six months from now we are going to get months of begging because he needs $16K again.

Phil's a pretty autistic guy, but watching the way he's followed his business degree; he'd be unreliable as fuck. That job is a lot of numbers, analysis, and theorycrafting; Phil doesn't seem to follow any sort of conventional business sense. The first time he costs a Fortune 500/100 company millions of dollars, his ass is out the door and the previous employer would probably put a burn notice out on his name.

Turned on the restream, immediately hear 2 troll tip donations in a row, a troll cheer and a troll sub. Immediately turned it off. Starting to think these restreams are only helping DSP at this point.

Y'all are talking about Gamestop but Amazon's trade-in program allows you to send games back to them free of charge for gift voucher credit. Send them back week one and you'll get 70% of your money back to put towards your next round of purchases and you just know this sloth is paying for annual Prime so he'd be getting "free" day one delivery as well. Print a label and send it back within seven days.. he's so comfortable knowing he'll be given the money to blow on digital that he can't waddle 5 mins outside the walls of Castle Goutskull to a mail box to save without doubt hundreds of dollars a year.

He's real hard up friends so give this poor soul 1000 yen so he can pay da taxes on da games!

There is some relation to DSP's tips and the restreams, I don't think anyone can argue with that. I think has been the case since DSP came back to Twitch as it is too easy for people to give a little for recognition and DSP will chase quarters.

That's funny, I was watching that exact video when I decided to check his patreon.

A fitting end for a dumb fuck cuck

Edit: He tips to tell Phil he got banned, then DSP actually stops the stream to read @CodeCastiel's chat and insults him rofl
Edit 2: CuckCastiel bends the knee post-ban, tips and apologizes for being 'wrong' - King Gout says he'll unban him after the stream. Battered wife syndrome in real-time.
