I wonder if MoRon are so assmad about Nick being the driving force that destroyed their narrative that they demanded Casey try and bring nick to justice
Well Shane keeps hinting at it and yea I know its Shane, but he does talk to Ron so there may be some truth to it...some.

About all the "I was a Con Staff" Vic Accusers.

You ever find it a bit odd that none of them actually come forward with a little bit of evidence for that little bit of info? You honestly can't tell me they wouldn't have some sort of contract or agreement archived somewhere. By the Mid-00s, practically any weeb worth their weight in waifu merch had access to an email account or two.

Then again, we've come to the conclusion that most Con organizers have no sense of how to run an actual business, so them simply hiring any starry-eyed schmuck off the streets for below minimum wage wouldn't surprise me.

Ty isn't even bothered by Vic going first, all he cares about is them filing for TCPA before theirs. If Casey came back and said "Vic 30th May, Monica 28th June, Ron 29th June and we agree not to file TCPA until at least 1st July" Ty would have been fine with that

They shouldn't even be filing a TCPA considering that they said they wanted all their private messages released. Fucking bitches. That's gonna have to be brought up in this hearing.

For what? If they tried to, Nick could just pull the dismissed complaints he and Ty have where La Choy straight-up lied on them.

Funi agreed with Ty to a later answer date. It will not be 10th June.

Do you know their date for a response?

I mean we had a (former) con staffer here. @Captain Manning gave us some good info, but also pics of con-staff group messages. I'll look for his posts.

EDIT: Ah, found it

Another thing to mention: Most of the complaints from the Con Staff people aren't sexual harassment, and are more Divaish and Assholish behavior. He apparently just pissed people off, which leads people to want to believe Vic was guilty of more serious stuff.

But here's the thing: Being an asshole diva is not the same as being a rapist or sexual harasser.

Most of them sound like divas themselves, who consider their own volunteer "he does it for free" nerd "jobs" as more important than the star attraction. Fuck all those entitled cunts.

Comparably all the VAs on the other side are more Divas than Vic. I think it's more so Vic is a nice guy and he is an easy target, or so they thought.

One thing worth noting: Monica Rial doesn't really give a shit about fans. In 2014 when she was still on the con scene but hadn't done any worthwhile roles, she was basically giving away autographs for free.

Cut to 2018, two years after MHA started, and a year after Dragonball Super, she had her name recognition back and suddenly autographs were 25$, pictures were 25$, an autograph/picture combo was 40$ among other things. She probably views her fans as nothing more than a piggybank and because everyone of her sycophants treats her like some goddess she's ended up developing a god-complex.

Edit: Adding a few screengrabs as proof.

Notice in 2014 she doesn't even bother listing any of her former or current roles, but as soon as she gets a bit of recognition she's all over showing off her pedigree.

honestly, if people would offer me money for a picture or autograph, i'd consider them exceptional and start looking down on them, too. i never got this whole celebrity worship thing.

A lot of people are turning around and selling these on ebay or some shit, or would be if they were free. Also the studios probably want them charging for these because it means they can pay them less and expect them to make their own money at the cons. The pay especially for a shithole, rinky dink operation like Funimation, is shitty as VA pay generally goes, even for the generally low paying world of anime dubbing.

So they're all competing for a piece of a finite pie and that makes a good explanation for yet another motivation for knocking off a guy who they felt was taking a disproportionate slice of the pie.

If I were a fan of some particular thing and there was a middle man, especially a real piece of shit operation like Funimation involved, I wouldn't feel terribly guilty pirating the product and making it up by paying one of the guys who made it directly.

I have good news for you then, because someone did a fansub of Dragon Ball Super: Broly using the Manga UK release (no green tint) and JP audio only.

I miss @Captain Manning and I hope he gets better.
He's missing out on the good stuff.
It'll be one of those anime moments. Manning has been in a coma since Casey's answer (probably of how stupid it was) and sometime late 2019/early 2020 when the defendants lose a million dollars and Iago, Igor, and Renfield get put on the chopping block he'll miraculously wake up screaming "ANIME HAS BEEN SAVED."

Or something. If anyone wants to pay me royalties for this concept they can PM me.
