So you're honestly gonna' sit there and dox a blue-collar black guy from the Bronx for posting a fuckin' joke and tell me that the media doesn't deserve to be called the Enemy of the People? A guy made a Facebook video they didn’t like so they post an old mugshot, list his criminal history, smear him as a misogynist, and then these people wonder “gosh why won’t people listen to us or trust us.” He's a private citizen who didn't commit a crime and absolutely nothing is gained from knowing who he is.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Ever hear of the Iron Law of Institutions?

Well, I mean, the media doxed that kid who posted the "Trump bodyslams CNN" gif and threatened him with worse.

And by the way, about jokes? To a narcissist, jokes are something you tell about other people (especially when you meant it as an insult). When someone says anything negative about the narc, it's a personal attack, an insult to their dignity and station in life, and must be answered with destruction.

The “Also, not Russian.” bit at the end makes me laugh I don’t know why
It's just a flimsy fuckin' pretense to keep doing shit like this because absolutely fucking nobody thought this shit was Russian. It's like a wife-beater excusing his wife-beating because she "had it coming" because dinner was 10 minutes late. That's a fucking bullshit excuse and they know it.

There is absolutely no point in writing this story, it serves no purpose other than to expressly target and harass and intimidate a private citizen who made a joke that you didn't find funny. I joke about mangling journalists a lot, but if people started running around and hanging these people by the truckload today, I honestly don't know if I'd even care. They're getting really goddamned close to earning that "day of the rope" shit at the rate they're going.

Edit: Poulsen's even an ex-convict--and the first American to be banned from the internet-- so just keep pitching those stones, I'm sure none of them will hit those lovely glass walls of yours.
Went and checked on the comments section. They are shitting on Kevin Poulsen hardcore.

Oh and as a bonus, it appears that Poulsen is a convicted felon who managed to land himself on NBC's Unsolved Mysteries.

Kevin Poulsen is a former computer hacker, whose best known hack involved penetrating telephone company computers in the early 1990s to win radio station phone-in contests. By taking over all the phone lines leading to Los Angeles radio stations, he was able to guarantee that he would be the proper-numbered caller to win, for example, $20,000 in cash, and a Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet.

When the FBI started pursuing Poulsen, he went underground as a fugitive. He was featured on NBC’s Unsolved Mysteries, and was finally arrested in April 1991 after 18 months on the run. He pleaded guilty to computer fraud and served a little over 5 years in prison. At the time, it was the longest U.S. sentence ever given for hacking.

Following his release from prison Poulsen was briefly barred from using computers. Reformed, but still possessed of the curiosity that contributed to his hacking when he was younger, he became a journalist. His first magazine feature ran in WIRED in 1998, and covered computer programmers who were driven to survivalist tactics by fear of the looming Y2K bug.

When Poulsen’s court supervision expired, he joined a California-based web start-up called SecurityFocus as editorial director in 2000, and began reporting security and hacking news. Poulsen repeatedly broke stories of national importance that were picked up by the mainstream press: a computer intrusion at a U.S. hospital that, for the first time, breached patient medical records ; hackers “war driving” for open Wi-Fi networks; a computer virus crippling a safety system at a nuclear power plant in Ohio; a southern California hacker’s successful penetration of a Secret Service agent’s PDA, and the attendant theft of confidential agency files.

Poulsen left SecurityFocus in 2005 and joined WIRED. In a computer-assisted reporting effort in 2006, Poulsen wrote software that scoured MySpace for registered sex offenders, identifying hundreds. The story resulted in the arrest of an active pedophile, led to significant policy changes at MySpace and spawned federal legislation. In 2007, Poulsen’s reporting revealed that the FBI had been using a custom spyware program, called a CIPAV, to infect the computers of criminal suspects. In June 2010, Poulsen and a co-writer broke the news that the government had secretly arrested a young Army intelligence analyst in Iraq on suspicion of leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to the secret-spilling website WikiLeaks.

Poulsen is a contributing editor at WIRED magazine and was the founding editor of WIRED’s Threat Level blog, which won the 2008 Knight-Batten Award for Innovation in Journalism, and the 2010 MIN award for best blog. Poulsen worked with the late Aaron Swartz to design and develop
SecureDrop, an open-source software platform for secure communication between journalists and sources, now used at over a dozen news organizations including the New Yorker and the Washington Post. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.

Oh and Shaun Brooks, the guy Poulshit doxed was black too.

Not to seem callous, but since the article itself has been archived already, I guess I can do the same to Poulshit's tweet too.

Keep in mind that that Poulshit retweeted this.

This unbearable faggot retweets his own tweets.

But that ratio has just been epic so far. Restores my faith in even Twitter.

The smug of this guy is enough to make you want to punch him.

All it seems he is today is the same asshole he was when he got arrested, only now he hides behind journalism's shittier practices to be a douchebag instead of computers.

To be fair, Vox recently gave away their whole game they have planned going forward. A plan that they are accelerating because the guy who went public with it? Is now cashing in all of his favors owed to him in the media circles he runs in, in order to destroy Steve Crowder, who publicly mocked and shitted on him and the plan the Democrats have.

The plan by the way?

Basically, they intend to force the media to embargo/spike/outright cover ANYTHING that makes the Democrats look bad heading into 2020. The writer, Carlos Maza (who was one of the people behind the plot to get Tucker Carlson fired recently), openly stated the plan is for the left wing media to go full fascist censorship and never give a word or minute coverage, to anything bad a Democrat does from any massive scandal a Presidential candidate is caught in or when they badmouth the Jews or 911 victims/claim only Muslim lives matter. And that the left wing media, intends to basically shadowban Fox News in real life. Basically, no matter how many scandals Fox News exposes regarding Democrats doing bad shit? The media won't acknowledge them or Fox News coverage of them.

It's also why Maza's moving heaven and earth to blood libel Crowder and get Youtube to ban him via creating a fake news smear campaign, after Youtube told Maza to fuck off when he used his Vox contacts to contact Youtube directly. Having deplatformed and silenced Jones and McInnes, Crowder's the next major internet conservative they have to get rid of to further hijack control over the narrative online. Because even if you shadowban Fox News in mainstream media outlets, you still have to deal with the online folks like Crowder bringing shit up. Especially after he publicly called out Maza and his masters plans.
This is why I'm fully prepared to lose all my irl friends in 2020. They barely tolerated me in 2016 until I shut up completely about politics and they were mildly angry with me immediately after the election. I'm in a heavily blue urban area of Ohio where everyone had Hillary yard signs. My friends are Bernie bros who somehow missed the DNC shitshow and still think bernie is the most awesome thing ever. One of their fathers outright thinks I hate black people because I wore a Trump/pence shirt once.

Even if I keep my mouth shut as planned, they'll probably be dumbfounded at Trump winning again. I'm pretty pessimistic and I was expecting rioting and random acts of violence around me last time so hopefully I'm wrong again

Being so into politics that you lose irl friends over it can’t be healthy no matter which side of the aisle it’s coming from

The reasoned response of a big brained leftist:

No dox. Brooks outed himself already to PoliFact. And he ultimately spoke to Poulsen. Only thing that bugs me is headline implies DB “found” him when he already was in the open. That feeds perception of doxxing.

As far as I know, this is technically true (on a certain level, the "speaking to Poulsen" bit is obviously false), as according to the article itself...

Brooks personally outed his connection to Politics Watchdog in a May 24 tweet first noticed by Manic News. In it, Brooks responds to PolitFact’s pants-on-fire debunking of the video hoax, which singled out Politics WatchDog.

It still doesn't even vaguely justify or necessitate airing his place of residence out (still doxing), talking about his supposed arrest record (that's still doxing, or defamation, by the way), or even potentially defaming him to the public.

One thing I just love about these kinds of people is how dox suddenly becomes "public information" when it's someone they don't like.

Yeah. I'm glad things have been ok so far. The worst they'll do is every now and then comment about muh kids in concentration camps or destroying capitalism. My friend who's dad thinks I'm racist has driven away other family members who supported Trump by going off and screaming at them

EDIT: the friend's dad did, not my friend

Who's also getting dunked on hard.
It's a tiny bit heartwarming and reassuring to see Twitter of all places actively scolding this ghoul and the people supporting him for doxing the poor guy.

It makes me wonder two things. Has this pushback always been present on Twitter and they've just recently given up trying (or straight up failed) to hide it so much? And how do you think the Twitter lefties (and leadership) feel right now watching this sort of pushback happen, knowing that despite all their efforts to corral and censor wrongthink, it's still coming on strong anyway?

If there were no term limits and Trump were immortal, he could win the presidency 499 times in a row. And when he won for the 500th time, they would be just as shocked as the first.

Judging by the reaction to Scott Morrison and the LNP beating the ALP in Australia's recent election, the left worldwide is still just as clueless.
