Im not that big on law or how lawyers operate but that means he works for free right? If so, then does he do it full time? Like, he doesn't have any actual paying clients? At all?
Yes and no. A lot of cases are average people who need legal representation but cant afford it. Usually, when a client is in this circumstance, the court will find you somebody to work with. You'll go through a consultation, and if you have money or a job, they negotiate a deposit or monthly payment plan. If you don't, it's pro bono.
