Scientific American recently published one of the dumbest articles about sex and gender I can imagine. It's a pretty standard argument you're all familiar with now; biological sex is determined by a complex interaction of genes and hormones and the womb environment (this is all true), but since it's complex that means it's not real! Also intersex people exist, which proves trans people somehow! Gender is a construct but also gender is biological! Etc etc etc. Basically a gish gallop of "science" terms to get people to turn off their critical thinking and start nodding along.

As you can imagine, it's been linked to several subs by TRAs, and they've infected every comment section, downvoting all the reasonable comments and upvoting anything that currently aligns with The Narrative. The /r/skeptic one is the most amusing, and if you click on the profiles of the most vociferously anti-science you'll find plenty of typical examples of AGP incels

Unfortunately this one doesn't seem to have posted photos (must be truly hideous), but just scrolling through his post history (minecraft, dnd, atheism, etc) it's like there's a real "neckbeard to troon" pipeline.

They are usually written in a smug manner – this one is a particularly striking example and Scientific Journal should be ashamed of themselves for publishing something that reads like a Gotcha! Tumblr post – and set out to prove that TRAs are right and everybody else is wrong. The "sex is more complex than you think" is always just a backdrop for pushing troon ideology. Seriously, they aren't even trying to hide it at this point.

Whoever professes this is a massive liar. Male and female brains are actually different in the same way men and women have biological differences. It's due to inmense pricks and retards like these that pharmacology industry has a crapload of problems because they have to test many drugs on both males and females to check for effects and side effects on both.
Scientists have an inmense hard time announcing scientific discoveries or testing new drugs because they have to be wary of any troon that comes out of the woodwork claiming that science is oppressing them.

I'm pretty surprised at the upvotes/downvotes in that /r/skeptic post. Reddit's trans community is its own exceptionally insane thing, which is why we're here making fun of it, but usually when troon issues this fucking stupid appear on neutral territory in Reddit, sanity largely prevails.
