Quick recap of all those screens, that Squiddo (23 years old) talks about hunting an underage girl he met through Splatoon. She claimed she's under 18, she's mentally disabled and she want to lose her virginity to him. Then we learn about how the girl lied to him about her age, how she was a minor (in London, age of consent 16, she was 15 or lower), how he had unprotected sex with her and how he thought she was pregnant. Tell us how he'll never got caught again and how it was all an unfortunate mistake (lmao), while admitting before that he was chasing underage girl... then proceed by talking how he's lucky that it isn't publicly known and everyone around him covered it. :story:

We learn from another member that this Squiddo is a Splatoon streamer on Twitch (?) and that he's known to hit on his underage girl followers.

Of course, he posted that on Reset fucking era lmao.

...I was playing Splatoon 2 earlier tonight. It's stupid bouncy fun and the sort of thing games should do more of. This brings up something tragic about its community that I've wanted to bring up about it for a while, but never really had the room for, and since this post gives a perfect reason to discuss it.

Splatoon 2 has an.... Unusual community. Like many of Nintendo's titles it's a T title and as such it has way more variety in its membership than games that are rated higher. This results in a sort of unusual balance between its members, which includes a lot of kids, Adults who enjoy the game for what it is (silly fun and memes), and so on. You see a lot of stupid nonsense that no title is immune to (there's tons of porn out there because goddamnit, Japan) but this does mean that the community has two weird (and oddly charming) quirks.

First: Splatoon is a neutral ground. SJWs wander the realm arm-in-arm with politics-get-the-fuck-out REEEE types. Miiverse is 90% shitposts and if you can splat enemies no one gives a fuck about your ideology. This means Splatoon sees the game itself as above ideology insofar as enjoyment of the game goes. I personally think the lack of voice chat has everything to do with this.

Second, because it's got a lot of kids and because Miiverse is a thing, a lot of the community keeps an eye out for creepers as a sort of squid-based neighborhood watch. Miiverse randos constantly advise users to be smart about internet safety and be aware of any shifty business. If this dude is a streamer, and he admitted to this, he's likely to be reported en masse now that that shit's out in the wild.

While you do like to rile people, you do make a perfectly salient point here I think is a good idea.

Yeah, ResetERA probably is trying to hide the fact a lot of them are the child rape loving deviants they claim to hate, but you contend we should be absolutely sure that is true before waving such knowledge around like a club.

Can't say I disagree, honestly, as while I'm fond of nailing a sick bastard to the ground for the debauchery they do, I like to make sure I've nailed the CORRECT bastard to the ground beyond a shadow of a doubt.

You are also against the moral crusader business, contending it's just as bad if not worse as the idiocy the outrage mobs do, which is also a good point.
