Okay, you know what. I like anime dubs. I'm dubs > subs.

And let me tell you. Monica Rial is a horrible voice actress. It's not because she's a bad person or a lying snake. It's not because of that weird political sour grapes people pull on things that don't agree with them. It's because she has three whole voices - Index (by FAR her most common and most annoying voice), Froppy (which she basically only uses on Froppy, because it would be weird for a non-frog), and Bulma (which is just copying the three before her, but worse). I hate every time Rial appears in an anime voice, because her Index voice is extremely grating. It's high pitched and reedy, the personality always seems to end up the same, and no matter what character she gives that voice, in the end I just want to punt them off the face of the Earth.

Rial is the only voice I have actually hated in dubs, and I've bonded with people before over agreeing on what an irritating, nail grating voice she has, and how bad her dubs are.

The only way you could call Rial 'one of the best voice actresses in anime right now' is if you're sucking on her teat or delusional. Cristina Vee may be weird, but at least she has a bunch of voices and is good at her job. Laura Bailey is honestly kind of a dick, but she's a good voice actress. Maile Flanigan has a screechy voice, but by gosh at least she makes Naruto sound like a male when she needs to. Rial is, at her best, a mediocre knock-off of better voice actresses, and overwhelmingly just awful. The dubbing industry as a whole would be better if she dropped out of it and spared us of 1000 index copies in roles she apparently gets because she sucks up to Sabat and other influential figures.

It's ridiculous how clean Vic is looking compared to everyone else. After five months of this, on their side we got gay ops galore from leaked discord chats, dm, and text messages. With Vic...we have nothing substantial with like 15 years worth of recordings and pictures except maybe he doesn't respect personal space enough and might be a primadonna at cons sometimes. I think the only private thing we've seen of Vic is saying he might have to sue in his Resembool discord.

It's so fucking crazy there's evidence of amanda dancing in front of kids but there's literally no evidence of vic sexually harrasing someone.it's been five fucking months and there is still no evidence to back up their claims

It's been said before in this forum, but ProJared basically blew the window on this when it looked like everybody had receipts on this guy within a day or two. Whatever bullshit he pulled, somebody had a way to prove it. Not so with Vic. We have 15 years of freaking hearsay.

I fully expect Dominique to release a book titled something like '(I TOOK PART IN) CONSPIRACY' regardless of the result of the lawsuit, because she's too dumb and desperate for attention to do anything else.

This tickled my noggin... here's a question for any of our #LawKiwis. (Like #LawTwitter, but better.)

I know that there are "Son of Sam" laws (at both the Federal and Texas levels) which allow confiscation of any profits (such as from book or movie deals) related to notoriety gained from a criminal conviction. These laws, however, apply to criminal convictions; Vic's lawsuit is related to civil torts.

Would it be possible for a wronged party to sue someone who was profiting from notoriety they had gained by participating in an intentional tort, though? If so, which cause(s) of action could be levied?

And again we can see the difference between Vic and the defendants. I'm sure Vic was salty as all fuck when 13+ conventions dis-invited/cancelled him based on hearsay and conjecture, yet we have nothing from Vic. We have ONE convention cancel Marchi (who IIRC didn't give a reason) and she encourages supporters to publicly harass and humiliate (drag) that convention on social media.

I wouldn't be surprised if @Svetlana heard some of Vic's (justified) salt in private, but I'd also bet that he never blamed nor wanted harassment directed to the conventions.

You'd be correct on both counts.

She uses it for Bienfu in Tales of Berseria as well. Also Vee's contraltos all sound the same. Darkness sounds so much like Velvet it actually makes the Konosuba dub funnier if you've played Tales of Berseria first.

This comment made me realize I haven't watched that many dubs and I had to go look at which characters she's voiced. (I knew she was relatively prolific, but outside of the most notables (Bulma, Froppy) I didn't know many of the characters she'd actually voiced) Having looked at the list, two specifically are HILARIOUS:
* Anna (Shimoneta) - If you don't know who this character is, seriously go check it out, you will NOT be disappointed
* Lyra/Dante (Fullmetal Alchemist) - This one is mostly just ironic/interesting considering the situation

Edit, she means TUG, hard to tell with all the bitching over the last two days.

The only thing that they hate more than someone who opposes them is someone who does it from anonymity so that these sacks of garbage can't go after their job, their life, and everyone that they hold dear.

This type of stuff from kickvic is so interesting to me. They claim Vic is some manipulative evil person who managed to assault people for decades and get away with it, but then in the next breath they act like he's this innocent naive idiot that's easily taken advantage of.

They also tend to project a weird possessiveness over Vic even though they hate him and want him gone. They get so salty at him being friends with people they don't like.

It’s pretty simple. Every friend Vic has that is genuinely his ally and is on his side makes him less likely to break, to give up and to hide and stop the lawsuit.
Especially Nick. Nick is the sole reason this got a fuckton of traction. There’s no wonder they’re unspeakably mad at Nick, the guy came in, ruined their character assassination plans and made a bunch of money in supercharts.

Only if it is to fulfill an outstanding judgement. The classic example is OJ Simpson. He wasn’t convicted criminally, but he was found liable for wrongful death. He played massive games to hide assets. The victims families sued for his book earnings to fulfill the wrongful death judgement. Skye is not a party to any legal complaints. She can profit off it if she wishes, so long as she doesn’t open herself up to defamation, etc.
