I can't figure out if she's still somehow a naive idiot (seems impossible after years on YT/social media as a "conservative tranny") or purposely wants to increase the chance of running into people who will harass or confront her. Seems careless to me either way

I never said she was amazingly smart. She's a novelty act, though I agree with her obvious criticisms of transitioning during childhood and idiotic woke culture. People can make cogent arguments about political and social topics but lack common sense.

As I said elsewhere I think the adpocalyse was a big wake up call for her. I imagine her circle got much smaller afterwards when those who could make money making Anti-SJW videos bailed. People think she was talking about Crowder but I think she was talking about people in her circle of friends.

Despite my issues with her, I would still say if not smart she does at least come across well spoken which to the average person makes them appear smart. A good example of this is when Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame appeared on a morning show in Australia to promote his solo album they marvelled about how intelligent he was afterwards. He didn't say anything that remarkable, he just said it well.

So, here's the thing: Personally, I don't think it's a requirement to be the most intelligent and articulate person to voice opinions on things. Blaire isn't the sharpest person, however, she has expressed some common sense logic to things like SJW politics. Given that she's part of the LGBT, I think it's actually important that more people from that group who have more sane opinions should be granted a platform to speak out and not be bullied into silence?

Plus, a few years ago, I thought that Blaire was entertaining to watch. Over the past two years, though, I have seen a huge decline in the quality of her content. Then, she completely lost me almost a year ago when she tried to "expose" right-leaning commentators (even though THEY granted HER a platform), while saying that they only expressed conservative opinions for money and how fake they are. Then, only a few weeks later, she went RIGHT back into making political videos regularly because her viewership went down in her non-political videos ...

I went from liking Blaire to disliking her almost immediately with that video. Oh well.

Blaire's video about Steven Crowder's demonetization. The interesting part of it is that she confirms that Crowder was the person she had been talking about when she said that a right wing commentator confessed to her that all the anti-trans stuff on their show was an act. However, she downplays it here, saying that he said things that just kind of sort of made her think that he wasn't sincere in his videos. She doesn't really claim that he said it outright, and seems to be pretending that her previous video doesn't exist and that this is the first time that she's talking about it. She also leaves out the previous claim that Crowder mentioned having a trans cousin as a reason for his guilt.

The reason for this seems to be legal issues. After her rant about fake political commentators, she said that she would love to name names and expose the frauds, but was afraid of potential defamation suits for unverifiable claims. From how she said it, it was very obvious that she was genuinely angered by the fakers. But in this video, she makes sure to say that she doesn't feel personal animosity towards Crowder, seemingly just to avoid pissing of his fans. She might be more sincere than she was a couple years ago, but she still hasn't entirely stopped hiding her true feelings to stay in other right wingers' good graces.

I've noticed this decline as well. It happened right after she got her FFS and honestly, I feel like the only reason she made the videos she did back in those days was to make enough money to get plastic surgery because she wouldn't have been able to do it as quickly if she worked a normal job. Because as soon as she got her surgery, her content started to dip in quality in the sense of feeling more disingenuous like with the MAGA hat incident which she (well Joey) staged and then the whole "I'm quiting political commentary" nonsense.

As far as I'm concerned, she's the same as the commentators she rambled on as she can lose her cool when people put her on blast like what happened between her, Miss London, and Ella Grant when the later two called her out on the whole Demi Lovato overdose thing. She was so quick to snap back on that because these two were fairly sized youtubers as well lol.

So I'm pretty much the same as you. Used to like Blaire but now I'm indifferent to unimpressed.

Same. I used to think she was okay around 2015-2016 but then around 2017, I noticed a change in her and it wasn't for the better. She became more disingenuous and like her shit didn't stick, especially on Twitter where she would tweet stupid things and then delete and pretend like they never happened when people would call her out on it.

I haven't seen Shoe's response but she's pretty vapid and so is Blaire but yes, this was mildly tolerable.

Of course she did. That's what she does. Pretends like her controversial videos don't exist and won't acknowledge them unless people pay her in her livestreams. And Blaire's littler rant on "fake" political commentators was still one of the most pointless things ever and she only did that to get attention because she may as well put herself in that video as well because she's been known to lie and try to cover her tracks as well. That's exactly what I thought and wanted to post. Like I mentioned before, Crowder doesn't look like a fraud to me, just someone who exaggerates a lot to put up an interesting act, for good or for bad. Sure it does but at the end of the day, YouTube is YouTube and they will do whatever it takes to keep the money (advertisers) rolling in for better or worse. See, this is why I have more respect for Crowder than I do these "Skeptics." The skeptics claim that they fight for free speech, yet the most of what they do is tweet angrily, state the obvious in front of a camera, and then panhandle via Patreon. And when push actually comes to shove on free speech being attacked, these dipshits throw anything they can under the bus. Their reaction to Crowder's channel being demonetized has been disgusting. "Attack HIM, YouTube ... But don't have it affect US." Pieces of shit, is what they are.

Crowder at least puts himself out there in the public with the "Change My Mind" videos and literally invites anyone to talk with him. He also runs a full-on business with his show while not needing to depend on Patreon. And while I personally find the majority of Crowder's skits to not be my cup of tea, at least he writes stuff and now puts some production value into them since he has the money to do it. People gave Crowder money, and Crowder put a lot of it into his production value and studio, so his audience has been able to see where their financial support is going. Definitely can't say the same thing about the Skeptics who are bringing some money in; their content plateaued about 3 years ago and they've literally done nothing to improve their content ... Which is why I think that the whole "Anti-SJW/Centrist/Skeptic" community imploded and started to cannibalize themselves. Crowder is now nearing 4 million subs on YouTube ... No Skeptic is even close to that number or fast progress (not even Shoe, who got to 1 million a year ago), and I think there are very good reasons why.

Look at Blaire's current content compaired to Crowder's. Her videos are SO lazy these days. They come across as quick afterthoughts, and she asks for money at the end of every single one of them ... Amazing.
