I just learned that Meghan Murphy has lost her lolsuit against Twitter, so I guess she won't be getting her Twitter account back. Back when Meghan still had an account I once mashed up her tweets with Nyk's tweets. The results were quite hilarious:

Anyways, to bring the topic back to Nyk specifically, yeah, it doesn't surprise me that a narcissist would hold the majority of society in such utter contempt. It's par for course that narcissists would have such a high opinion about themselves, and such a low opinion of the vast majority of society.

On the other hand, my *own* perspectives have been challenged a bit in this perspective, after having watched Lars von Trier's "Dogville" (2004). Nicole Kidman is amazing in this. The last two 'chapters' of that movie make a pretty strong argument against grace/forgiveness for the more impoverished who don't actually live up to your own ideals. It's arrogance to not punish these people. For a tl;dr version of the movie (though it's an amazing film, I don't blame you since it is 3 hours), here's a good fairly short analysis:

I'm well aware that von Trier has said/done problematic things in the past. That doesn't mean that some of his films aren't still works of genius.

I also happen to like films by Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, as well as the artwork of Gustav Klimt. There are plenty of other artists I've come to enjoy who are problematic in some sense or fashion. Being human, they're all susceptible to sin -- but I am a proponent of separating the art from the artist. Very few excellent artists were also absolute saints in their own lives, and in fact plenty of literal Saints (i.e. people canonized by the Roman Catholic Church) also had messy, sin-filled lives prior to their ascension towards sainthood (e.g. St. Augustine).

The point being, this requirement for absolute purity that Left-leaning communities have installed as a requisite for being considered acceptable is just ridiculous and ultimately impossible for anyone to live up to. Obviously there are different degrees of sinfulness and bad behavior, but it's gotten to the extent that even a minor misstep or gaff is enough to justify completely renouncing someone's entire body of work and public status. It likely drives people in Left-leaning circles to become even more insular and secretive about whatever bad behaviors and sensibilities they may be harboring, for fear of public excoriation.

Now, in regards to Nyk: it's basically impossible to separate the "art" (such that it qualifies as art) from the artist, because the primary subject of his videos is himself. The two are so utterly intertwined. And so if any dark secret of his ends up surfacing, I think the Left may in fact be justified in casting him out and disregarding his channel in its entirety retroactively.
