Nothing particularly dramatic, just realizing that I and others were being systematically lied to by this person. I was watching a video that Tim Pool posted the other week where he described meeting one of the leaders at Occupy Wall Street (when he was covering those protests as a young documentary maker) who told Tim that he "just wanted to watch the world burn". This was a lightbulb moment for Tim, when he began to realize that those the left considers to be its leaders don't have any actual progressive goals or values, they just want chaos for the sake of chaos. It's pretty obvious at this point that these are just clueless newbies who did not bother to familiarize themselves with the forum before signing up. You see, rebutting random Tumblrettes's points is easy but debating people that know more about you on the matter is considerably more harder. From all the Skeptic spectrum, Dr Layman is maybe the only one that has knowledge on social science. Hell, he even managed to humillate Ollie from Philosophy Tube for his exceptional dogmatic political arguments. But the Skeptics don't know much about history, politics or sociology, because they started as a response to stupid ignorant radlibs that just wanted a quick buck (Zoe, Anita). That's why every debate that Skeptics had ended in a fucking failure. Sargon got dunked by Kristi Winter, Jim and fucking Richard Spencer (he got lucky with Natalie becuase she is not that good of a debater). Kraut failed to demostrate to Vaush (leftie Destiny) why the USA didn't invade Iraq for oil and to defend himself against Jim for the gay ops.

The Skeptics were victims of their own success, they believed to be more inteligent that they really were. Their failure to create a political alternative to SJW's and the alt-right was what doomed their cause: their poltiical ideas were really vague and all over the place. What about Breadtube then? They're gonna last for a while: mostly with the help of Internet corporations. I see four ways they can collapse
1) A big sexual scandal that basically destroys the entire cohesion of Breadtube. It has to ProJared's level of shitshow. Could be likely, they all seem really exceptional people that can fuck things up somehow. Harry was really close to this.
2) The alt-right simply dissapears over time and Breadtubers loses their meaning to exist. Unlikely, they're really strong online and they get stronger everytime that Youtube or other corporation pulls some shit (Crowder's example)
3) Some kind of serious idelogical drift, like the one that happened on the anti-SJW community between the Skeptics and the alt-right. Maybe a big political could be the case. Unlikely, because they ideological cohesion is bigger than the anti-SJW. Liberals like Bob Chipman and Lily Orchard are rejected because they're not high enough on historical materialism
4) Corporations decide to act against them because they prefer identity politcs completely devoid of class. Radical leftists get the big oof and only moderate intersectional content remains. (this could correlate to number 3 where Breatubers that didn't got Thanos'd can have conflicts with their more radical wing)

I see number 4 more likely, number 1 would pushing luck too far. But something is clear: if the alt-right decays, Breadtube is gonna suffer for it.

I think it's his face, but it's almost like the garishness of his surroundings draw away some of the attention from the Picasso-painting that is this man's head -- so perhaps his choice in home decor and wardrobe is in fact a conscious decision.

I'd still rather watch him than Nyk.

Yeah, that’s a good point regarding the ideological cohesion. They’re not afraid to explicitly be a “community”, unlike the Skeptics who were highly reluctant to do so. For a long time their genre didn’t even have a commonly-used name, it was just something along the lines of “the anti-feminist/anti-SJW youtubers”.

This is still largely true, but other members of the Breadtube community exhibit similar patterns to Nyk, so addressing the community as a whole is inevitable. Namely Hbomberguy, Peter Coffin and Shaun. I am laced with many hobbies and scant few hours to review the movement in its entirety, so it'll be welcomed if any of you could recommend me some other very prominent Breadtubers for my 'fore-mentioned task.

A prominent one that you didn't mention would be Philosophy Tube, a friend of Nyk's that he may or may not have fucked at some point.

I keep tabs on several smaller (but still well-known within that sphere) BreadTubers, they're probably unnecessary to discuss but I'll bring them up anyway. Big Joel, Jack Saint, and Sarah Z (who's one of the whitest white girls I've ever seen in my life. I just had to say that) all do media-related video essays. There's also Quinton Reviews (KF thread), who's ultimately more of a wannabe BreadTuber than an actual, accepted member of their community. People are especially irritated by Quinton because he's a turncoat suck-up as well as a manchild.

And then there's the debacle with Faraday Speaks, who you've probably already seen a lot of in this thread.
