Anyhow I think there are plenty of creepy FTMs, they just aren't as flamboyant so they don't get noticed the way MTFs do. I have noticed a lot of FTM and enby females among the tumblr "MAP" ranks. Which is really scary because people are more likely to trust someone they perceive as a woman--which, even with the beard and whatever, a lot of FTMs still read that way, being 5'2 with soft eyes and small hands and uptalky voices--with kids.

I realised that I'm quite biased. I love to make fun of the MTFs but generally feel sorry for the FTMs. Anybody else feel the same way? I think it's because MTFs tend to be driven by their porn addiction and narcissistic nature. Well, except for the gay dudes who don't want to admit that they're gay. Kinda feel sorry for them too, but the FTMs seem like they're trying to escape stereotypical womenhood and the expectations that come with it. Which I can kinda understand.

Nah for the most part, I agree. For the most part, mind you. Mainly because it's the mtfs that run this show. Masculine women transitioning used to be extremely rare. It was always a primarily male endeavor until recently when the fetishists took over the entire lgbt. Masculine lesbians basically have to transition now or it ruins the whole ideology since regardless of what they say, it is absolutely based on stereotypes. I actually think most males transition for fetishes and most women are manipulated into it indirectly by the fetishists. The amount of change AGPs have hoisted onto the lesbian community cannot be understated. They've destroyed it pretty much completely.

ETA: besides this perhaps the best reason to feel this way is to just look at any given thread here. Mtfs have SO MANY threads & they seem to be the ones screaming at people, usually women and being cluster b nightmares. You don't see a lot of "IT'S SIR!" memes really. Ftms seem to, on the whole, be a fuck of a lot more reasonable and chill.

Agree on both of these. No real sympathy for the MTFs because trooning out in online communities immediately grants you protected status and propels you into a position of indirect control. It's too easy for otherwise unremarkable nerds and losers to troon out and start exercising a power fantasy/control freak attitude by using transphobia and transness as a weapon. I'd wager this is an element in every single MTF thread, and the high profile ones exhibit this to extremes. You don't have to be a genius to see that being trans in "woke" circles carries a ton of power when you combine it with things like callouts, swaying public opinion, character assassination (XYZ deadnamed me, XYZ is transphobic, etc) and e-begging. Hell, it also carries a shitton of power in some normal situations. Flipping your lid over misgendering and trans issues will net you asspats by the dozen and inevitably some orbiters if you play the game right. Even the most annoying and self destructive troons have their little cadre of asspatters trying to calm them down on spastic tweet rages.

Funny that males, the sex known for competitive nature and generally being ones in control or power will, in the absence of any of that as a male, take the path of least resistance and "become" a true and honest woman to exercise power through forcing everyone else to conform to their desires or be one of the bad ones. A thing most nerds, losers and woke people absolutely don't want to be.

More things change, more they stay the same: Men are always making the rules regardless of if they're wearing a dress and are a True And Honest Woman or not. It's laughable really.

I don't think anyone would claim ftms can't be insane either but as you say, they tend to stick to tumblr. They hang out in little internet cliques and screech at and about each other. They tend not to take that shit into a public forum though because they hate face to face confrontation. It's so painfully female tbh. Mtfs take that shit outdoors and aggressively all up into your face irl. They attempt to sieze power in any circle they enter by any means necessary up to and including physical violence and they never ever stop.

There's just a big difference between how the two ways of being crazy actually affect the world outside of themselves. If there were no mtfs out here, only ftms, we would still laugh at them but I highly doubt we'd be sitting here watching grown men compete in sports against women, for example. You're thinking of Self Made Man by Norah Vincent.

She wanted to sit in on men being like "haha I love rape" "right bro?" and then went through a months-long stint of depression because what she actually got was a lot of "I can't move on after my wife died" "I know bro, but you can't tell anyone that, you have to be strong."
But then in her conclusion she's all "men need to do better" and "I'm the greatest visionary on earth so lucky to be a lesbian" so I think she didn't learn her lesson at all.

Also, she included multiple scenes where she tried to seduce a woman while "passing" as a man and got discovered, but the other chick was totally okay with it and they still hooked up. Shit like that made me suspect the entire book was a fanfiction veiled as social commentary.

At the very least, Norah put tons of effort into passing. Even took acting classes.

The difference is that FTMs tend to contain their autism within designated spaces. MTFs on the other hand have no qualms about frequently acting like baboons, freaking out and bitching on every single social media platform they have, and also bringing their influence into the real world with legislation, physical attacks etc. FTMs just aren't as bad, and a lot are just confused lesbians and girls who experienced abuse and have body issues.

Just look at transgender YouTubers. Blaire White is the most OTT flamboyant drama queen who is a giant prick and overreacts to everything. He's an "anti SJW" yet throws shitfits and goes into bitchmode when people bring up his old name, Robert, or call him a man like Candance Owens did in that Dave Rubin "debate". Meanwhile Kalvin Garrah is more subdued and makes passive bitchy response videos to other troons, and she's always scrutinizing them and whether or not they're trans enough. (All FTMs do this, competing with each other to see who's the most ~manly~, whereas MTFs want everyone who isn't a troon to kiss their asses.)

They still mostly follow the behavioral patterns typical of their birth sex, giving me another reason to think that the whole "born in the wrong body" thing is a load of shit. Women tend to internalize conflict and blame themselves, when they try to harm others it is usually through relational bullying or passive aggressive harms. Men tend to externalize conflict and blame others, their outward aggression is more direct and is more often physical or evocative of violence. Men tend to enjoy seeing what they can get out of others while women tend to find that uncomfortable, like with salary negotiation. They're shooting up the sex hormones of the opposite sex, but all that really seems to do behaviorally is cause mood swings.

Even the MTFs on reddit/FTMs on tumblr thing is a split that is consistent with birth sex, not their stated gender. They're exactly what you would expect of men and women who were LARPing the opposite sex.

The mental illness in each group seems equal, but expressed in different ways. The relational bullying (like in Mean Girls) is absolutely fucking brutal on tumblr between FTMs. The only way to further your status is to call someone else out for something, but that's a risk because it can backfire. It's a constant cycle of that type of shit, the severely BPD (manipulative) individuals succeed the most but eventually get cycled out for some slight against someone who is more oppressed. It is impossible not to fuck up, and it is impossible to live down whatever you did. Any semblance of a community FTMs might have had is continually fractured along countless different social justice lines, and refusing to take sides is itself an offense against both feuding parties. All of this shit is only genuinely harmful to people who are mentally ill and socially isolated, so, most of them.
