EDIT: I got too excited over something I'm personally invested in and acted like an autistic faggot.

What don't you get about "I may not like what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it"? The r/The_Donald mod that banned Null did something I don't like, in a sense, his banning of null was his form of expression. I don't give a shit about that random mod though. I give a shit about reddit, and the tech world at large, deciding what viewpoints are and aren't allowed through capricious and inconsistent applications of the rules. You should tell that to r/The_Donald mod that banned @Null from that sub.
Reddit reserves the right to ban whatever subs they want.
Anyone who still supports Trump is likely a lolcow themselves, and thus I find the quarantine to be like a trolling saga
But can they please ban chapotraphouse next
So, is it the record job numbers, lack of foreign wars, or increase in average wages that bothers you so much about Trump?Agreed. Both of the major parties are full of corrupt idiots and anyone who unironically supports either party full-on is an autist at best and a lolcow at worst. Voting for the lesser of two evils or the least destructive candidate is one thing, but drinking the Kool-Aid is another.
To me, Trump is a shitty candidate who just happens to be the least shitty of all the viable candidates in the 2020 Election, which is a criminally low bar to clear.
The only candidate in 2020 who is actually close to decent in my opinion is Tulsi Gabbard and she doesn't have a chance.
However, I do have an issue with Reddit's quarantine of r/The_Donald simply because of the blatant ulterior motives that are so obvious. If Reddit was doing the same to Chapo Trap House or one of the other lefty sub-reddits, I would also be outraged.
Corporate censorship of any kind is bullshit and needs to be stopped.
Hmm, so when the democrats did the exact same thing and hid out to avoid a vote, I guess they forgot to read the constitution that day? Or are you hiding from that fact via ignorance?I've wondered if the Reddit admins were on standby waiting for something they could jump on to shut that place down for a while now. And not deleting plans to organize terrorist on their subreddit fast enough was what they used.
Private site can do what they want, I don't care. But can they please ban chapotraphouse next? You know, the literal tankie subreddit. They routinely call for killing everyone from police to small business owners.
As to the nutjobs on the donald, the state is actually compelled by the constitution to bring back these legislators to do their job (vote yes/no/present really hard stuff).
Section 12. Quorum; failure to effect organization. Two thirds of each house shall constitute a quorum to do business, but a smaller number may meet; adjourn from day to day, and compel the attendance of absent members. A quorum being in attendance, if either house fail to effect an organization within the first five days thereafter, the members of the house so failing shall be entitled to no compensation from the end of the said five days until an organization shall have been effected.
You'd think the reactionary types would actually read the constitution once in a while /sneed.

I mean if Trump is shitty then Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush... were all ultra fucking shit. Because we've got better economic numbers than any of them managed.
After a certain point you have to recalibrate your "zero shittiness" point.
But point taken about drinking the kool aid. It's too easy to get caught up in the team sport aspect of politics and excuse bullshit from your "team".
Yeah you gotta make them earn every vote.I do admit that Trump is miles better than Obama or Dubya, but at the same time, I can't really throw my support behind a single party or candidate in a full-on straight ticket manner.
I agree with you on how too many people on both sides treat politics like sports teams.
What I don't understand about the current political wrangling is the divisive nature of it all. America is split down the middle. It is now a us vs them inside our own country. This is the greatest shame not that orange man is a muppet or Hillary is a ghoul.
And for some reason the general public is happy to keep throwing mud at each other to make a polical point out of our own country men. This is so fucked.
If trump could do anything I wish he could reunite the country so we can go back to being one nation as it should be. Currently the most cohesive country with a working democracy is fucking India. WTF
That large minority will abandon that the moment it is no longer politically popular. They're mostly just following whoever they perceive to be authority. Look at opinions on gay marriage, swung from "are you insane?" To "only a backwards bigot would be against it" in like 2 years.Impossible, there are a large minority of people who mostly constitute the upper-middle and upper class who think that its ok to chop little boy dicks off, and who also think that it's fine to beat and silence anyone who disagrees with them. There's no chance of unity, its only going to get worse.
And whining won't make it pass any faster, any more than it helps with heat or rain.Given the relative absence of @CamelCursive posts, I assume his tardwrangler came back from that cigarette break?
Holy shit this summer will be long as fuck.

Whatever we do (or don't), the milk will come in regardless. And whining won't make it pass any faster, any more than it helps with heat or rain.
Maybe figuring out a way to capitalize on the lulz they produce would be a better way.
That's true, but the more you whine, the likelier it becomes that you're the tard.Whatever we do (or don't), the tard cum will come in regardless.
As they see it, there is no legitimate way to enact legislation they disagree with. Thus, nearly all methods used to oppose this legislation (gerrymandering, voter suppression, requiring infeasible supermajorities, etc.) are entirely justified. (It's the same tactic used by dictators like Pinochet, put up as many barriers as possible to exploit institutional safeguards.) In this case, they believe corporate lies about climate change because any attempt to salvage whatever we can of our ecology will affect the rich's bottom line in some way.As to the nutjobs on the donald, the state is actually compelled by the constitution to bring back these legislators to do their job (vote yes/no/present really hard stuff).
