She would have appointed people that she owed a favor to, or to get woke points, and then there would be zero media scrutiny of that person for years while they decide educational policies for school kids, maybe competently and maybe not. When people like DeVos get appointed, regular people suddenly care about what the secretary of education actually does. That's great! I have never seen so many stories about cabinet appointments to things like HHS and education. This is how they should be covering every president, but they don't.
