He should just lean-in ban the face cam all together. It’s the face cam’s fault “the incident” took place to begin with. Face cam is a detractor, dood! Get the fuck outta here, you dumb fuck! Ack ack ack. Alrighty then.
Bald spot/trench detractor memes wouldn't exist without face cam :stress:

How come the daily prestream segment, the part where he is directly talking to his audience, is the one part that doesn't use face cam? Wouldn't this be the most valid time to make use of it?

Turn face cam on during the prestream instead of the stupid slide show. The audience gets to feel like they are having a face to face conversation with Phil. Turn it off during gameplay while he is picking his nose, checking his phone, and falling asleep.

He knows the "rocking back and forth during lengthy monologues" would become a new meme. Or maybe he is constantly Y-posing whenever the cam is off, like in that unboxing video where you can see his reflection in the window.

He actually rocking back and forth and flailing a lot on prestream. There is a video of him when one of the detractor slide were a bit transparent.

Found it.

I still think the stupid slideshow needs a complete overhaul or he needs to do something else. The slideshow is terrible.

I remember a time when every game Phil would play would get fan art. Even if it was Phil's face shittily copy and pasted on official art. His slide show rarely is relevant to anything he is playing. Most of it isn't even relevant to Phil or his content. There are a half dozen drawings of Phil as a Japanese warrior. Why? Phil is not Japanese. He does not practice any martial arts. He is not handsome. He is a fat balding 40 year old letsplayer.

Put something relevant on there. I've suggested before he could throw his patrons names up there for a shout out. He could advertise the sub goal. He could make a slide of the week's schedule. Anything but anime Phil swordfighting skeletons.

I maintain that one of his fans had just finished binging the first couple series of Jojo's bizarre adventure, and wanted to make autistic fanart of DSP as a character in that universe.

Wasn't it meant for Sekiro? I remember these started right around March before the game came out. So it's four months old right now.

The problem here is that you're thinking like a normal person would. A regular content creator would change things up every once in a while, even just for the sake of it, not to get too complacent or come across as stale. Phil doesn't have any incentive to change anything since his paypigs are still giving him a shitload of money. He doesn't even bother promising any new changes because he knows he can't deliver.

Remember when Phil was going to try a new setup in his "office" and what he had was only temporary? Well, 5 years later it's still the same shit in the same exact spot; Phil claims he CAN'T change the setup for various bullshit reasons. Remember when Phil bought a greenscreen and was going to incorporate it for Project 7 and other videos he wanted to do? It got used once when he made silly faces in front of it a few times, he was too lazy to learn how to chroma key and he scrapped any future use for it. Remember the Project 7 revival? Lol. Remember when Phil said he was going to do more edited videos with KO Gaming? Oh, he didn't get millions of subs in the first 3 months he opened that account so obviously nobody wants edited videos and it wasn't worth his time. Remember when Phil said he was going to do more DSP Tries It videos? The fans liked them, but he didn't make enough money doing them so they were a waste of his time and he's never doing one again. Remember when Phil said he was going to put Patron's names up on a scrolling list for his pre-streams? He did it for a couple weeks and later complained it was wasting too much of his time because he didn't get 5,000 new patrons from it so obviously nobody wants him to do it.

He's fucking lazy and entitled. The very best he can do when it comes to fan service or being presentable is putting together a slideshow of still images that were already provided for him. His fans don't seem to give much of a shit, so why should he? They know they're getting the absolute bottom of the barrel with Phil and they're okay with that. Phil has his core fans who will never leave or ask anything of him, which is why he gets so terrified when new people show up and does everything he can to scare them away.

Ran the DeepNude app on Phil, it gave... interesting results:

For even jokingly mentioning this, I still wanna slap you--the DSP hair thread is too vital for my laughs.

I've seen some people talk about CZgaming10, let me do my thing.

Before I drop this I want to point out that CZgaming10 has stopped donating to darksydephil and called him out on lying about his financial issues, by cheering of course.

[2019-06-26 18:48:08 UTC] czgaming10: Cheer100 Hey Phil. After last nights stream, some people informed me about who you really are. They said you make a bunch of money yearly, and yet you say you're in a financial crisis based on your own doing. You put on an act, in hopes of luring in unsuspecting people. I wanted to support you, but after finding this out, I'm afraid I can't now. That's inexcusable.

I didn't post this so much to make fun of CZgaming10 but to point out the utter stupidity of this whole darksydephil cycle, where people working low tier jobs give money to a guy that makes around 90.000$ at the very fucking last yearly.
He seems like a decent kid that has a fair job and works hard who simply got ripped off. If you want to do a good thing, go follow his Twitch channel.

That’s Twitch in a nutshell: a platform to separate fools from their money. Normally the government frowns on that sort of thing (see also pyramid schemes, gambling, usury, etc.) and works to regulate it or at least get a cut of the action. Asking people to subscribe to this paypig’s channel is maintaining this exceptional circle of life.

Not directly related to DSP (for the time being...), but interesting nonetheless: Amazon is slowly but surely uncovering their strategy on the direction Twitch as a platform is supposed to be going (according to Amazon).

This year, our favorite made-up holiday, Amazon Prime Day, takes place July 15 & 16. To celebrate, Twitch is hosting our very own live shopping show on /twitchpresents that promises to be unlike anything you’ve ever witnessed…but, like, in a good way. It’s called Twitch Sells Out: A Prime Day Special Event, and it starts July 15 at 10am PT.

We’ve gone through every single item on sale for Prime Day and curated the best of the best for the Twitch Community. During two, twelve-hour broadcasts — one on July 15 from 10am to 10pm PT; the second on July 16 at the same time — dozens of your favorite Twitch streamers will be showcasing deals on everything from games and gaming peripherals, to kitchenware and electronics. They’ll also dive into previously unseen demos and gameplay of some of the most anticipated releases of the year. And you can buy or pre-order it all instantly on stream. We’ll even shine the spotlight on some of Prime Day’s more…unusual items for sale. You’ll just have to tune in to see what we mean.

Twitch Prime is all you need

To get in on all the incredible deals, you’ll need to have Prime, so make sure you’re all signed up or take a free trial before the big day so you don’t miss any of the featured sales. Some of them will only be available for a limited time, so if you’re busy signing up you may miss out. And don’t forget, you’ll also get a free channel subscription plus tons of other Twitch and Amazon benefits when you sign up.You can start a free trial RIGHT NOW by clicking here.

Co-stream the show with us

Because we want everyone to celebrate Prime Day with us, co-streaming will be enabled for the entirety of Twitch Sells Out. So feel free to add your own commentary to the items we’re featuring. The Blacksmith Extension, an interactive on-screen overlay with links to purchase the products, will be in ‘Live Event Mode’ so if you’re a Partner or Affiliate, make sure you enable it on your channel to get a share of the revenue for any product or Prime sign-up sold through your channel. Want to know more about Blacksmith and how to set it up on your channel? Head on over to this handy blog post that talks about just that.

Who’s hosting?

Some amazing Twitch streamers will be joining us to host and participate in Twitch Sells Out. (They’re all currently locked in a windowless room watching an almost unhealthy amount of infomercials to get ready.) We can’t name names just yet, but we can promise that many of your favorites will be involved. We’ll be announcing the full list of who’s participating on July 10.

What else is happening for Prime Day?

Twitch Sells Out is just one way to get involved this Prime Day and in fact there’s a whole lot more in store for Prime members. Here’s some of what you can expect:

Twitch merch is on sale! Prime members, take 30% off your entire Twitch Merch purchase from July 3 to July 16. Enter promo code: PRIME2019 at checkout. Shop at the store right here.
Bonus Bits! We’re throwing in 10% more Bits when you Cheer ten or more with the BleedPurple Cheermote in any affiliate or partner channel.*
In-game content and a celebrity-filled live streaming event for both Apex Legends and EA Sports. Click here for more details.
Remember, Twitch Sells Out starts July 15–10AM Pacific Time, sharp — and you’ve got to have Prime to get the deals. So start your free trial now and don’t miss out!

*This is a limited time offer. Offer begins on July 10, 2019 and expires on July 16, 2019 at 11:59PM PT. Offer is subject to all Twitch terms and policies, including the Bits Acceptable Use Policy. Twitch reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time.

In short: they're going full homeshopping mode, presented by Twitch's biggest shills. Well, at least for one day, but it sure looks like writing on the wall to me. Btw, I'd call it "Twitch's Big Paid Shill-A-Ton", but hey, I'm not smart enough to work at Amazon.

Anyway, to still somewhat tie this into the DSPhere: the whole internet knows he has been basically sucking Twitch/Amazon's dick since he returned to the platform - as he tends to do with every platform he's depending on regarding money - so you'd say the used car salesman of Twitch would fit right in.
But here's the problem: he has been ranting so much about paid shills, favoritism, "the elite" getting all the best opportunities and "the normal man" (meaning: DSP) getting the short end of the stick, that it's virtually impossible for him to justify what Twitch is doing/becoming.

I really wonder what his reaction is to Amazon/Twitch doing stuff like this and the mental gymnastics he has to pull off to not royally fuck himself. The funny thing is: he's fucked either way. One one hand he simply can't be positive about this stuff happening on Twitch, and on the other hand he also can't speak (too) badly of them for obvious reasons. Maybe he'll do what he normally does when a "sensitive" topic is being brought up:

1) ignore it
2) (after people keep asking him questions about it) briefly address it, stating it's none of his business and he doesn't care
3) start banning people for bringing it up because it's derailing the "fun" and/or "chill" gameplay stream (dood)

Oh well.
