Haven’t the two of them already gone on record that they WANT to go to trial? Also, what’s Funimation corporate structure like? IIRC, Jamie was part of the investigation and their HR/PR wing is pretty barebones. So, I don’t think that Funimation will settle either. Jamie has come across the one most likely to double down and go to trial Also also, is it possible for one of the sides to approach the other, offer terms of settlement, only for their opponent to go “not good enough”? And that’s not considering Vic is a chill dude that’d probably be fine with giving them essentially a slap on the wrist or at most public apology and retraction of claims.

Either way, I can’t see a settlement happening. Not with this cast.

Vic and Ty have no reason to settle with Ron. He has NOTHING to offer them. Whereas for Funi, settlement is by far the less expensive option. Funi could probably walk away with an appology and payouts not much more than what they would have budgeted for Vics services annually. And they could still get his services as part of the settlement.

God help me, but I'm gonna have to side with the Drunken Crazy Whore on this one. Her EVA Translationa nd performance was miles better than the Netflix crapfest.

I can almost say with certainty that any settlement 3 of the opponents(outside of funi) offer him will be an insult and would serve 2 purposes.

1,) An attempt to get off easy and TRY to make him take some responsibility for things he did not do

2,) More than likely would be declined and would be used to further smear him more by stating that he does not want to make peace, but this is only about the money.

It depends, I think.

If Marchi settles first, she's groveling. She's the least able to defend herself financially (Monica is more popular, and Ron probably makes decent money at his (ex?) job; they're both combining their assets even if they're throwing money away at three different lawyers), and probably would just want the case to go away. The only wild card is that she's a nutty feminist type, and her sense of pride might outweigh her sense of self preservation.

The only problem I can see is... what can she make a statement on? She's just parroting Vic Man Bad, and I don't recall her ever saying Vic touched her jelly bean or whatever.

Could one of the affidavits be Michelle and her whacko story that had "3" people involved 30 years ago? I can't view the tweet because the coward is hiding behind protected mode.

If there is something I've learned from observing Renfamous, is that's she doesn't play all her cards. She may be a sleazeball, but she's paid to be one. Which means she's smart enough to hold some cards.

It wouldn't surprise me in the very least to see she has some kind of "horror" story cause Vic looked at her ass when she walked to the bathroom one time, at that one convention - and tries to weave it into some epic tale of autistic adventure.
