Money Chandlers sued for debt megathread

Since it was only under $2,000 I figured it would end like this. They can still pursue through different ways so there's always hope.

Also, there's no need for some of you to get mad about this. Even if he weasles his way out of this, his life is still shit. It's not like he's some millionaire who finessed his way out of paying his taxes or paying back a loan. He still lives in squalor and spends every last shekel on toys. Chris will never be financially secure even with begging. He has lost just about his entire sanity and is awaiting for autistic armageddon to happen.

Trying to get money from Chris is like trying to squeeze water out of a rock. Just cut your losses and be smarter about who you loan money to.

Blood from a stone is the saying.

Honestly once I saw the date moved up to the 3rd, i knew it was likely because the is no case to be had. Chris effectively doesn't have an income. And because of his ability to essentially be the Teflontard, this gives him more reason to not get an actual job.
But don't be mistaken, he still owes the money, and I'm sure it's accruing interest at a fantastic rate because he is likely going to miss his minimums.
If Barb actually wanted to really do something for Chris before she passes; she'd find a way to take on his comically small amount of debt. I wouldn't even be annoyed by Chris missing out on more responsibility... its probably the least she could do for allowing him to run fucking wild since Bob passed.

I'm not even really mad about Chris. It's just that i have seen people go down the drain for much less debt. But then again, i'm not from america. There seems to be that overwhelming fear of getting stoned for political incorrectness.

There are laws in place to protect the disabled which Chris falls under(as unfortunate as that is) I don't doubt that he gets notices and phone calls to pay his debt back. He doesn't feel the pressure of having numerous judgements against him as you and I would. We would worry about our credit score, getting loans in the future for a car, house, etc., general adult life scenarios. He's skirting by just barely as it is but once Barb dies it's only going to get worse unless he curbs his spending habits considerably. He's lucky in the sense that he is guaranteed money every month that he could live reasonably well for the rest of his life, but we all know that's a pipe dream unless the state forces someone to handle his finances(which will be hilarious for Chris to throw a tantrum when he's only given so much to freely spend).

My husband had a $90 dentist bill sent to collections before because he forgot to pay it. It was laughable only because the office never sent a reminder invoice or called him. They just jumped straight to collections.

Wow, I would wager that Chris' score is about 300 by now. What a shame that most commercial lenders are only allowed to discriminate based on income and credit score. Chris doesn't have a worry in the world, that's how re-tarded he is. He doesn't even remember to panic that the pay pigs on Patreon and Ebay are drying up. Barb's death is either going to send him into a spiral or deeper into the merge BS. Maybe both.

Remember when people were claiming that Barb was the primary reason Chris was in debt, and once she dies, he's going to be on easy street. I'm not saying Barb doesn't have a role to play, but I doubt she is Chris' primary financial problem. I think the best conclusion people were floating around was Chris living in a small 1 bedroom trailor living comfortably and spending within his means. :story:

In a way she is, but realistically speaking, even if Barb wasn't demanding her cut from Chris' monthly Chris would see that extra money as more toy money. I would have argued that 4/5 years ago, Chris could have been capable of living on his own and poorly budgeting his way through living expenses(albeit probably always a month behind on payments, enough to not actually get him evicted or have utilities cut off). Current Chris would not be able to live on his own. He only views money as a very temporary non existent issue when he can't have something now. He's so immersed and committed to his fantasy that money is of no issue because he's filthy rich in his other world. So why bother saving money now or worrying about trivial things like bills when he'll be raptured up into autistic heaven any moment now.

I am willing to bet that he modeled his spending and nonpayment habits after Barb. Bob was the only one with any money sense, though he obviously couldn't control his crazy old bag of a wife. If Barb had died early and Chris had been raised by Bob alone, I'll bet that Bob would have forced some semblance of a budget on him.

Really, even if it seems to look like it at times, i don't want anything bad happening to Chris. Jung Chris was a victim of his parents and old Chris can't grasp the concept of resposibilities. All i want for him is real adulthood to hit him with a hammer so he evaluates his outlook on life to come. Nothing that will cripple him even more, just a push of thoughts.

I used to work in a collections department, and I assure you as a person who has had to make calls for people owing us $13, we hate making those calls too. It's a complete fucking waste of time and we got barely any dividends on those calls. If that center ran anything like ours, then they must be running low on whales, which makes sense considering the time of year. Best poaching, er, collecting was always right after the holidays.
Awww, well now I feel bad for exploding into raucous, bitter laughter & using the fuck-word. I was just mad because I was already paying off a separate account from them & was completely incredulous that they were calling for another debt. Of twelve dollars. For a hospital stay back in December. When I'm already gearing up for another extended hospital stay.
I mean, I still would not want to switch places with Chris.
Oh, totally. I don't envy him one bit. It's just the principle of the thing, sometimes.

Agree, no one actually likes him, the few people that do send him money just desperately want to be part of meme culture. He's uglier and stupider than most. He has no potential for advancement, no social skills, and his mom is about to croak. I don't envy him at all.

I've always had a feeling this would be an issue. So many people have suggested that Chris simply needs to learn, which is not possible. Chris entire brain is screwed up, so I doubt he feels the impending fear of being without money for responsibilities and emergencies. Sure he might feel a little something from time to time when someone reminds him how bad things will be, but we've all seen his endless PayPal in the red moments. I think he's going to regress even further, but it will be okay because the Sonichus will show up any minute now.
