Who would be the best Republican candidate to run in 2024?

Tucker. Why not have a second tv president? Tucker would do something about immigration and avoiding/ending stupid wars, as well as big tech censorship.
He really needs to branch out from under fox news first before he could be trusted with the nomination. Otherwise, he might alienate the moderates. I'd say Rubio or Cruz personally.

Rubio is a RINO cuban, and I mostly hate cubans.

Cruz is also a cuban, though not a RINO, but he doesn't poll well outside of Texas.

I live in Texas. I have voted for him, but he does poorly with yankees.

You picked two cubans. Are you a cuban?

I picked them because everyone knows who they are and they're still successful politicians while everyone else peeled off and wasn't able to even challenge trump at all in the 2016 primary. There might be a rising star I'm being blind to or something but that's my pick for who will have the biggest lead from the start.

It's just they both have known national electability problems. Too far off to worry about yet, to me. Gotta win 2020 first.

If hrc wasn't such a greedy cunt, she could have been a ny senator for life. There was no way she was going to carry the heartland. People fucking hate her.

Cruz has that problem in donkeyville regions. Rubio could never carry Texas, as he's a fuckin Florida cuban. Works in Florida. Ain't worth a fuck here or in Montana or Kansas...Cubans suck at loyalty.

You can trust Cruz, because he is an ideologue and his opinions are immutable.

Rubio does that Bill Clinton style shapeshifter glad-handing thing. Nobody here thought he could be trusted to do anything he promised.

Watched it first hand in 16. Neither Jeb or Rubio had ANY chance of carrying Texas or heartland states.

Just the opinions of an old fucker in Texas.

It's way too early. If you had asked me this question in 2013, for example, I would have been all aboard the Chris Christie train. Plus, you never know what kind of candidate could materialize from nowhere in five years, which is like 2 or 3 lifetimes in political time.

That being said, if it were 07-04-23 right now, I'd probably be backing Nikki Haley (hopefully working for her, but shilling for free would be fine too). Charlie Baker, Larry Hogan, or James Mattis could be interesting, and all would make good presidents. I like Dan Crenshaw, but he's not ready for that level yet; he should be on a VP shortlist though. I like Cory Gardner, but I don't know that he'd run. I also like Rubio, but I think he missed his shot; I think he'd do well as Secretary of State, though. Condoleezza Rice would be awesome, but she hates politics. Mike Pompeo would be less terrible than some other options, but he'd be far from the top of my list. Will Hurd would be amazing, but I just don't see him ever running.

Unless things go extremely poorly for non-traditional candidates like Andrew Yang, Marianne Williamson, Pete Buttigieg, etc this year (I'm not talking in terms of losing the nomination, since Buttigieg is the only one with even a 0.01% shot at the nomination), I'd expect to see more "outsider" types running in both parties. Hell, Jason Kander, the former Missouri Secretary of State, almost ran this year - wouldn't surprise me to see multiple statewide officeholders, business figures, celebrities, local officials, state legislators, etc.

The way the world has gone this century, though, we'll probably end up with someone fucking terrible being sworn in in 2025, like AOC or Roy Moore or Meghan Markle or fucking Chris.

Ted is a man denied his delegates. He will not be so easily defeated the next time around.

Your picks are a dot indian married to neocons, a disloyal cuban RINO, and a possibly queer NJ fag with, maybe, a moderately believable beard. Condoleeza couldn't get arrested in Texas. Rich quadroon with neocon pals.

You must be a coastal person.

Not one of those have a chance, nor will they ever.

Bonus:

Somebody wrote an essay, eons ago, pointing out that the neocons and RINO, suggested above, will never have a chance. Words actually aged well.

I am an agnostic American, but I can tell when things will never fly.

Christie? NOPE
Condi? NOPE
Rubio? NOPE
Cruz? NOPE

Been living in middle America for over 50 years. Have not lost a bet on a presidential or gubernatorial election.

(The only good way to make politics fun is wagering)

Wanna wager 5 bucks in a crypto of your choice?

The bet would be:
Will any of these people be contenders in 2024

vs

None of them will even make the primaries

I put my money on option B
