That's what makes all this so bizarre. Either they plan to serve a subpoena or not. If they don't, then the notice of intent is irrelevant; if they do, then a motion to quash, even if slightly premature, is perfectly reasonable (even if perhaps a bit mis-timed procedurally). Arguing over this specific detail is completely pointless, since best case it'll just delay the motion until you actually serve the subpoena.
Granted, they've been full of pointless delaying tactics, but this one probably won't even delay things very much.
What did Marchi ever do as a "translator" other than insert her own butthurt political opinions into fake "translations" of another culture's art? That's only writing in the most cancerous, worthless sense. I suppose it's "writing" to spraypaint insults on a portrait of the leader of a country you hate, but nobody would consider a vandal to be a writer.
I want to see whether I'm some completely insane, biased asshole just looking at things through the lens of someone who admittedly utterly loathes one side of this case. I would really be chagrined and start looking at my own opinions of the case if he said no, you're both complete idiots.
I'm just amazed at the utter childishness of Lemon's behavior. Does he really think adults are never going to look at this shit? Does he even know what's happened in the case so far? Does he normally act like this?
This is even in the light of the fact that some of these technical issues, i.e. can you even quash a mere notice of a subpoena without the subpoena having been issued, are actual technical issues, but they're dumb issues, they're issues that can be resolved by the court invoking its inherent abilities that whatever the fuck you're doing, it's time for you to stop.
