I realize my reaction level on here has gone down considerably since I told you about Simeon. But I can't just cut off contact with him and stop paying him now as it is too late in the game for that. And also Simeon told me he had been unfairly scammed no less than four times by people who live in our country (all were older men who he gave the names of) by them cutting off contact with him and never paying him. Not all foreigners are criminals, and not all Americans are saints, as he puts it and he's right.

I still have to call Film Connection Limited and will do so tomorrow morning and let you know how it goes with them.

You can cut contact, sure it may be hard for you but just because it's "too late in the game" doesn't mean you have to keep doing it. Not all people are good or bad but that's insanely deflecting to bring up being scammed as a way to clear his name.

How often do you talk to this guy?

That's called the Sunk Cost Fallacy. That "business plan" document he prepared is 100% fake. Can he make a movie? Maybe. Maybe he's just acting as the middleman between you and someone on Fiverr and taking a huge cut - like he's proven to be doing with the "self publishing" thing.

Illegal? Maybe not. Misleading and scummy? Definitely.

And I'm not going to cut contact with him because I trust that he has been being honest with me all the time and he does genuinely want to keep his word to me of finding a film company that will make my movie. And for all I know right now he may have found it with Film Connection Limited.

Right, but that business plan is 100% fake and unrealistic. It doesn't paint a good picture.

Unless you're John Grisham, you're not going to make $30k on an ebook, ever. You'll be lucky to make ten bucks,

You've made up your mind, we aren't able to sway you, so that's why your reaction level is low. It's not funny to watch someone get scammed out of their money, so people just stop reading.

Don't pay him anything more UNTIL he has shown he has made significant progress. Pay him for work he has done, not work that he hasn't done yet. You have paid him enough for now.

I'm just going to pay off the remainder of the bill for the business plan and I won't pay him anymore until he does the business plan for the second movie and as I've told him, that will wait until the first movie is in production at least.

Don't pay him again so early. Let him do some more work first.

Film Connection Ltd will not make your movie unless you pay for it yourself. How has Simeon determined you will do that?
