Really? Huh.
Guess I've got some catching up to do (or somehow I just managed to not notice the gun)

So the gun in correct for the costume and is actually pretty good then.

Still offensive for no reason. I mean, it is the farms here so people will give me negative emotes just for suggesting being offensive is not a good thing by default, but still his shirt was in bad taste and he should have been made to change (rules are rules. Can't have selective enforcement or we are no better than the SJWs)
"muh offense". Grow a thicker skin faggot.

How is the shirt in "bad taste"? Che was a murderer. Socialism is a failed system. People being offended by that shirt prove what little faith they have in their ideals.

It's because they don't get the joke. Socialism is for "F*gs" isn't "Fags". It was a reference to where Che Guevara died, I believe. The place of the figs.

And then the offended brigade comes in.

I did some google digging, and it's not perfect, but I wanted to see if I could better judge when the rumors really started to surface, as they've consistently said 'ten years or more'. I'm sorry, the post is kind of huge.

2000-2003 he only pops up as the odd credit.

2004 he starts to appear in casual discussion, this is when he makes FMA Fantasy, I believe.

2005 ANN does a positive interview with him that doesn't hint at any controversy.

2006 some random podcast claims they have 'as much ego/clout as Vic'. Vic's pants are commented on, because of course they are. In 2009 some fujo revives this to comment about how they despise Vic for not liking the gay.

2007 there's a mention of a tequila story with Travis, but links seem broken. Vic wins best actor award in the 2007 American Anime Awards, whatever that is.

2008 A Deviantart journal/blog post is made titled "Vic, an asshole?" but it's basically clickbait. 90% of the story is him going above and beyond to be nice to people who are constantly pestering him even while he's trying to eat away from the con, and the last bit is merely complaining he's so popular that he steals the show from the cosplayers when he simply stands in the audience of some panel. However, the comments from the OP say they don't really think he is one, and that they were joking. It takes years before any comments are negative. Years later, this is referenced as 'proof' that Vic is awful, ignoring the comments the OP made clarifying that they were joking.

On ANN forums someone says "VIC MIGNOGNA IS A LOUDMOUTH WHO WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT HIS RELIGION OR MOST ANYTHING ELSE THAT HE THINKS HE HAS AN OPINION ABOUT. " satirically as an example of things people say who are being petty for no reason and hating on voice actors. First mention of a negative response to his religion.

A weirdo gets permanently banned from all Texas cons for being psycho about wanting to be a voice actor, which involves screaming that he's going to be 'the next Vic Mignogna'. Also some crazy lady named Selene stalks Vic at a con.

2009 a myanimelist club is formed called 'Vic Mignogna is overrated' where the people complain about his voice and hate him getting so many roles, but although comments continue until 2011, no mention of creeper behavior. Vic starts doing random stuff like making an album of his songs, starring in a WoW commercial alongside other celebrities, and directs the infamous Sakuracon commercial. There's a handful of other articles talking about how dubs are bad or Vic is bad at dubbing voices

A yaoi fan says offhandedly "I've attended my first Anime convention in 2009, although Vic Mignogna made me want to run away from my home state. ' while rambling incoherently about how they're now fluent in Japanese before translating some BL game route. I don't know what that means. There's no further context.

Vic mentions on a panel that he's not into slash pairings. This gets recorded and put onto youtube. The poor fool.

2010 - Gaia online thread titled "What did Vic Mignogna do at Ikkicon?!" I don't know how to archive it since it has a captcha buffer page. It opens with "I heard Vic did something bad, but not what?" samples of responses:

"I don't know, but I can guess that some random, stupid, yaoi obsessed fangirl wanted Vic to sign or say some dumb yaoi thing with one of his characters, and he probably flipped out because he does not support homosexuality "
"Apparently, he was half-drunk or something, and a fangirl asked him to sign a picture of EdxRoy, and he did flip out and say mean things to her. She cried. ; n ;
But I think she might've deserved it, anyway. She was being annoying. And everyone knows Vic doesn't support yaoi very much, especially that pairing. > w < "
"Vic just has no clue how to handle fans. He takes parts for characters that ALREADY have huge SLASH fandoms and then gets drunk and yells at Slash fans. "
"He was nice at Acen last year

then again he had a big rant on his "no slash pairings" thing and how he doesn't care for that stuff.

The whole thing's on youtube. "
"It still has not been flat out stated that they are indeed gay. That's wherein the problem lies.
Having homosexual tendencies but being straight is fine via Vic's mindset. Taking those tendencies and turning them into no form of straight, 100% gay is not.

And with the supposed case at hand, the girl kept asking and begging him to sign it after he said no and she refused to take no for an answer. I'd say he's justified. "

They argue about this for a few pages, with fujoshis mad and everyone else saying knock it off. Interestingly, he's recorded in 2009 saying he doesn't like slash pairings, despite doing yaoi fanservice for fans, and then mysteriously this incident happens in 2010. After a few pages, someone posts this:

"I CAN say he never did anything of the sort that this topic started from. Believe me, it would have circulated around that convention faster than wildfire if it did happen, because there was thousands of people there. And I was there all three days. I did hear some stuff where he cut the cosplay show short because it was time for his flipping concert that could have waited five-ten-fifteen more minutes (and anyways, it was late starting by half an hour in the mean time ANYWAYS, would know I was standing in that god for saken line). So yeah. "

Miraculously a year after he's caught on camera disapproving of yaoi, a story emerges that he drunkenly raged at a fan who refused to stop pestering him to sigh some Roy/Ed art. Fujos decide he's a diva and homophobic because of this, even though they admit he does yaoi fanservice for fans at cons. Someone actually present that entire con debunks the story and says what really happened is that he mildly inconvenienced some people by causing their cosplay show to be cut slightly short for his concert.

Someone rants about Vic at Tekkoshowcon 2010. You may remember this name as the convention the Crimson Chin claims he ran off with three girls at. Vic holds a 'rumors' panel, which addresses the rumors that currently only exist on 4chan and some cosplay site. This is what that rant is about - the writer is annoyed he's not more mature.

The rumors were:

1 -That he plans to quit voice acting and become a minister. He does not.
2 -That he's often drunk at cons. Vic retaliates saying he's not sure what beer tastes like, and has only had the occasional drink at dinner, and will award $100 to anyone who gets a photo of him drunk.
3 -That he's mean to fans, VAs, and cons. He denies this and rambles a bit, I guess? The narrator is distracted by his fans getting irritated by their irreverent behavior here.
4- That he forces his religion on others. Vic denies this, but the narrator feels this is untrue, because he keeps mentioning his faith, like saying 'God loves you', so that's the same thing, right?
5- That he hates yaoi and that Fai and Kurogane are gay for each other. He denies both. The narrator rolls their eyes.

He then tells his fans to correct people if they hear those rumors, and the narrator feels it's him siccing his fans on them. You'll note there's a very important rumor that seems to be missing from that lineup, despite this being the time when they were assigning 'handlers' to keep Vic from getting too handsy.

The comments tell Vic to go DIAF and be banned from cons for daring to hold this panel. They're probably fujos. No one mentions any kind of sexual rumors until it gets necro'd in 2019 and confuses the OP. OP claims to be 'in the green room' and 'has seen Vic get drunk', but even they don't talk about him being handsy.

TV Tropes discusses the gay hate rumors. They mostly seem to think it's mad fujos.

2012 - Here we have the first 'happened to my friend' story, and 'of course it's about Vic', but where this is mostly just the gay hate, force his religion stories, this is the first time someone mentions 'pedophile', claiming they heard he has sex with underage Ed cosplayers.

Greg Ayers gets sloshed at an 18+ panel and rages about Vic for a while. Details aren't shared about what he says, but it's enough that he gets embarrassed and apologizes the next day, and the OP sends an email warning Vic about what Greg said.

A brief Kaizenshuu thread asking about his homophobic/mean rumors. Consensus is that fujos gonna fujo. Someone mentions Kyle Herbert trying to be polite as two fujo girls ranted about Vic to him.

2013 - Beneath the Tangle interviews Vic. Not much new is discussed, but Vic talks about his history in the church, how he butted heads with it because of anime and his fans, and discusses how VERY upset the rumors make him. He theorizes it's because he stands up for his faith and people don't like that. Sexual rumors aren't mentioned here, so it seems they haven't gotten much traction by the time this is written.

4chan tells stories about him, but 4chan has always hated him. It's the first time a 4chan result appears for him in google, though. Also a brief troll thread of Crunchyroll is created, marking the second mention of him being a pedophile. No one believes him, but it is acknowledged that the groping myths exist.

And AMV forum thread is posted where a fan is angry people badmouth Vic and JYB. Only thing of note is that aside from resounding 'eh', is this one post where someone states 'Vic likes to take young girls to his room', which is relevant because they say "Our AMV Contest Coordinator had to deal with him one year for the con and he was an uptight asshole the entire time. " which sounds a bit like it could be the Chin.

A random fujo claims she screamed about how Vic was a creepy host while out drinking during a con.

The first accusation of Vic being banned from cons (Zenkiakon 'and others') for 'having intimate moments with minors'. Amusingly it suggests he's banned from Anime Matsuri.

DC Douglas is jealous of Vic's popularity.

2014 - People be mad that Vic is going to voice Rin Matsuoka of Free, because Rin isn't gay, but fujos really really want him to be.

GameFAQs wants to know what the fuss is about, because the fujos absolutely losing their minds about Vic getting the part of Rin Matsuoka have dragged the pedo claims into the public consciousness more. There's little to note except that one guy claims there's a rumor of him doing something negative to Monica Rial, but he doesn't ever expand on it.

2015 - AND HERE WE ARE. The first claim of "This has been known for 10+ years!"

Has it, though?

Has it?

In brief, let's consider the timeline:

From 1995-2003, Vic is just not important enough to be on the baby internet. About 2004-05, he hits his stride of success, clearly involving FMA. He becomes popular, and starts popping up everywhere, getting interviews and releasing music.

By 2006, people begin accusing him of having a big ego, and by 2008 Vic is a big enough deal to have a crazy stalker girl and be considered 'the thing to be' by crazy wannabe voice actors. Aside from the odd 'he's egotistical/religious', it seems no one has anything bad to say about Vic unless they're insane.

2009 hits. Vic is even bigger. People start getting mad because he's too popular, and hate on him to be different. This is probably when 4chan starts up on its initial Vic hate crusade, but I can't be sure. Vic makes his biggest mistake of his career this year: he admits to not liking yaoi.

By the time a year passes, all of a sudden Vic has gone from the sweet man who gives warm hugs, to the first rumors of him being a drunken rager who attacks fujoshi for being fujoshi. 99% of the nonsexual rumors now circling the web are born here, and they upset Vic enough that he feels the need to make a panel dedicated to debunking each of them. Obviously, it doesn't work, because fujoshi never forgive and never forget.

In 2010, fujos want Vic kicked from cons and for him to die, because he doesn't like yaoi.

By 2012, the first sexual rumors start, but don't get any steam until 2013.

Then the dub for Free! arrives, and Vic is cast for Rin Matsuoka. A petition is launched, and fujoshi get SUPER MAD about him voicing Rin. If you knew about the rumors before January, you probably learned about them circa 2014, because this is when they launched a massive campaign to attack Vic's character and try to drive him out of the industry to stop him from voicing their (not actually) gay boy.

One year later, the campaign - having failed to stop him voicing Rin - has now morphed to claim that these accusations have been stretching "10+ years" In actuality, they had existed for 3, and really not gotten going until 2.

SO. His sex rumors have not been rampant for 'decades'. In fact, according to internet record as far as I can find - and that's all that really matters, since it was supposedly such an open secret - they've existed for 7. I wouldn't be surprised if they've existed for just barely 10 now, if we assume that the moment he went against the yaoi the fujos started whispering it, but it was not in public consciousness yet.

Conclusion: Vic's rumors are all because of fujos, except for the rumors that he's egotistical, which come from jealousy.

Weeb Wars: the war that all the lawyers flock to for relevance.

I'm convinced Akiva Cohen is in it for the pussy. He's currently defending Ghost Contrarian on Twitter stealing a guy's art piece and trying to pass it off as her niece's . What a great IP lawyer he is: defending and abetting people stealing copyrighted artwork for their own gain.

I always forget that Jenny is apparently cis.

On behalf of Steven Crowder, who I totally and completely superduper seriously represent or my doxable identity is not T. Greg Doucette, world renowned Twitter lawyer and animal vagina connoisseur, I wish to apologize to all the figs who were offended by that shirt.

I don't know that it's a degenerative condition so much as just a shitty debate tactic.

As stupid as Clinton's "definition of is, is" soundbyte is, he wasn't wrong.

He was literally playing a lawyer game that made what he said not actual perjury. He just seriously underestimated how much it made him look like a complete slimeball, which is less palatable politically.

So you are telling me that asking for 1k on GFM for a license to practice in texas is not your idea of lulzy?

To give the guy some credit, it showed some moxie to just instantly raise a grand for something this stupid while admitting it was for the lulz. If I had the idea of doing something like this and then did it I wouldn't really care how much it got me made fun of either.

If only he could expend such energy on knowing what the fuck he's talking about and not embarrassing himself any time he opens his mouth.

Your whole post is great but this is my favorite part. It's looking more and more like these rumors about him being a pedophile and creep started with Manjaw, the proven liar. All those people who say they were "warned" about Vic while at a convention, I wonder how many of those warnings came from her or people she talked to.

Does BHBH get to question her about her affidavit? Because that should be interesting.

tl;dr FUCKING FUJOSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS

Seriously, though, good job. I wonder if there's an archive of that Tumblr blogpost where they list 13 reasons why Vic shouldn't be voicing that guy from Free!, with the 13th reason being that there's allegations of him being a sexual predator and the first being that he's not in lockstep with the Gay (yes. Yes, really.).

@mindlessobserver, you should consider putting this in the OP.

(on a somewhat unrelated note, and I know this is irrational, but as someone who at once enjoyed his work, ProZD can eat a shoe for acting like he was in the know about anything and parroting the "open secret for 10+ years" garbage.)

Not sure about that.
akiva, cuck lightyear and mike something mocked the "vic is not a piece of shit" thing AND concluded it's a lolsuit. But then lot of people mocked them beccause they didn't understand the bigger picture.
