Honestly, Buck passes (except for the voice) pretty well mainly because of the obvious workout regime. It's a known fact among ftms that your results will be significantly better if you work out before surgery. You have to actually have pectoral muscles. As we can see, most of these chubby fatasses have absolutely no muscle definition in their upper body or anywhere else. But FFS Buck sounds like a dyke even after all these years on T.

I tend to agree as it's pretty clear there are rather large differences between why the two choose transition. Ftms seem to tend to be gender non-conforming women pressured by peers/society/mtfs whereas mtfs tend to be heterosexual men pressured by their cluster b disorders and paraphilias. Ftms also tend to make aggressive threats and demands of the people around them an order of magnitude less frequently than mtfs. I have significantly less empathy for mtfs for those reasons.

I mostly disagree - 99% of clocking happens because men and women look different and it's easy to tell them apart. A toddler can clock most troons. Having said that, though, someone upthread cited the male brow ridge (or lack thereof) as a dead giveaway for troons. It wasn't something I thought of before, but now that I'm looking for it, I think I could probably clock that last 1%.

I wouldn't have expected him to be 5' 8" from his voice ... some of the nasal quality may have always been there. Testosterone by itself might thicken the vocal cords, but it doesn't change larynx height, lung size, sinuses, or voice habits. That's not enough to drop everything by an octave from mezzo-soprano (common female voice) to baritone (common male voice).

There's also a problem with bone conduction favoring lower frequencies, so your own speaking voice sounds lower-pitched to you than it does on a recording and to the rest of the world. Congratulations on thinking your speaking voice sounds like a male tenor: he may get used to being called "Miss" over the telephone, but you're getting clocked.
