There are two things about gofundme lawsuits that should thrill everyone in the legal profession.

1. It can allow someone who lacks the means to gain access to the legal system.

Unironically exactly this. This is how people who have support from the public but no money can pursue their legal actions. Much like contingency actions.

And why lawyers might support this? Oh, lawyers get money from it. So they get paid to work. I can't imagine why lawyers would like this, I mean, other than that I can.

They quoted Yellowflash,

Timestamped at 46:17

Well gee golly, they seem to have cut the transcript a bit short. What silly, forgetful lolyers. As a helpful farmer of kiwis, I will help them out:

Nick, literally 8 seconds after YF says "Volkswagon": "Let me put on the legal disclaimer for that. Before the show someone asked about stretch goals and stuff like that--"
YF: "Ooh, can we do a MarzGurl stretch goal?"
Nick: "NO. No, and here's why. Thank you for your enthusiasm Yellow Flash, but--the problem with promising a lawsuit against someone based on some sort of performance from a 3rd party, that takes away the agency of the person who would be engaging in the lawsuit. It takes away what might be a legitimate discussion about what might be in the best interests of the client. So we can not attach some promise to this GoFundMe that Vic will sue someone because the money is there. That's NOT a thing that can be done. So I can not say 'well at 200k he sues MarzGurl, at 300k he sues ANN', that's not-- that's not a real thing, that's not anything that can be promised."

Skipping ahead to 48:57, after more of Nick's explanation, emosh doubles down to make it extra clear:

emosh: "To the other side that's watching, you know, the comments that are made while we're--that are followed up by laughs, right, we're just joking around. It's similar to the jellybean thing... take what you hear with a grain of salt."

All 3 of them go on to make explicit that they're making a joke about MarzGurl's arms, and YF disclaims that nobody here represents Vic in any form.

I wonder why they left out the parts that directly contradict their claim that YF "disclosed" some super secret plan.

Edit: My brain has teh dumb, that was emosh, not HH.

That and it's guaranteed. It's not a case of "oops did I snort all the money I was supposed to pay you".

Even if it goes away, any money on the IOTA account is there for good now - and that's more than enough to finish this first round of lawsuits and maybe even fund a second one. It's way too late to hope they can hurt Vic through that.

(If IOTA is the correct term, I'm getting ovewhelmed with jargon, 1800 pages in lol)

It ain't right we don't have the drink reaction for Nick posts. It ain't right at all.

Even back then they knew Vic was stealing monica's jellybean HAHAHA

Hey, what if they did? In the GameFAQs post, one person mentions there's a rumor that Vic did something bad to Monica. Given the fact that she can't keep her pseudo-rape story straight, I think that one's new. The jellybean story though, maybe she spread that around for some reason? Behind the scenes. It's what she jumped to first when the investigation hit, after all.

So gigajaw was the fujo Vic triggered by not signing her gay underaged incest FMA porn the whole time?

My research indicates that there was never a key fujo triggered by Vic refusing to sign art. Instead, the fujo community as a whole declared Vic their sworn enemy when he was caught on camera announcing he didn't approve of yaoi and making fun of some of the more extreme 'slash fans'. You know. Fujoshi.

I hope at the end of this someone is contracted to make an Anime of this whole debacle because some of what has happened here has been so absurd I'd think it was some kinda of script for a TV show for the amount of exceptional happening.

I have had some experience of the idiocies of the legal system in my country, seen some of the ridiculous depths that people will sink to spin their case, but I have never, never, seen anything as fucktarded as these people in this case, right now. It physically hurts to. Mostly because of the laughter, admittedly, but even so.

I had a ringside view of the Bill Schmalfeldt lolsuits. All seven of them. This lawsuit, however, surpasses those lolsuits in how much it has made my sides ache from laughter. This is so glorious I can't even explain.

Jesus Fuck, 188 pages. This'll take some time to unpack.

Is there seriously 188 pages of pure whining?! I had assumed the motion was like 5 pages of 'Judge he called me a cuck and it hurt my feels, also look at this selectively edited transcript that makes him sound like a supervillain! Let us depose him!' How do you stretch that over 188 pages? Provide written transcripts of every sick burn Nick's delivered this week?

Lemon Party is the real Landau the whole time! What a twist! I expected all of MoRon's lawyers to be some barely caring slightly exceptional twats trying to get free money; not have a sekrit Landau!
I wonder if Lemonparty was normal before and what were seeing is a result of being a "West Nile Survivor".

A Phoenix Wright clone/parody might be more fitting. (Though, you might have to code your own graphics engine to fit ArmzGurl's wingspan on screen.)
