I just love how vade was like "bout to get an abuser in trouble" like are they an abuser because they've done something trouble-worthy or is it a specific mention of tundranvoltaire as being an "abuser" but really she needs to stop using that goddamn word idk why it just pisses me the fuck off

also re I love being mentally ill: srry vade I don't like the depression that leads me to suicidal ideation and ended me up in the mental hospital. I'd rather be autistic than non-autistic because i feel like I wouldn't be me if I stopped being autistic but that doesn't mean I love being autistic

It pisses me off too because it's manipulative as shit. Vade is being deliberately misleading. "Abuser" makes people think of terrible people - stalkers, rapists, people who beat their partners, those who neglect kids or animals. People nobody would even think of defending. I guess technically someone using unsourced art is kind of abusing the posting system (if you turn your head 90 degrees and squint reallllly hard) but it's not even remotely CLOSE to what the term implies. Vade's using that technicality to make her foe seem like a devil so nobody will ask any further questions and see how petty she's being.

I've got to know a girl who is bipolar and she explained it to me a bit and al I can say is: that shit's terrible.
She was doing much better on meds and things, but her mood swings got to her so hard that she had to look for alternatives for selfharm etc etc. (She's now fully tattooed because of that, which I think is a bad ass coping mechanism)

Vade really needs to go to a mental hospital and walk with the doctors and nurses there, talk to patients and learn that mental illnesses aren't like bracelets you can take off when you don't like it any more.
Same goes for ones sexuality and gender identity.

I can only imagine how it would be and I would freak the fuck out every single minute.
I really hope that transfolks get what they deserve: a full transmission to the sex and gender they are in their hearts, and it all being successful and their environment being accepting about it all.

Oh yeah, I love having a combination of severe ADHD and depression. I love the horrible downward spiral it causes that made me almost flunk out of school. I love having to take meds to even focus on stuff I need to do to fucking manage my life. I love having to take tiny breaks whenever I work and having to explain to people that I only do that so I can work harder, no it's not being unproductive, please believe me. I just love it.

Another mentally ill person here confirming that, no, having a disorder that cripples you emotionally, mentally, and sometimes even physically is NOT a fucking picnic. I've had severe anxiety issues for as long as I can remember and was even institutionalized for a period of time because I literally could not leave the house out of sheer terror. I would give anything to just get rid of my mental disorders, but I can't so I have to live with them.

Tumblrinas like Vade who use them as fashion accessories make me sick.

Yeah, they also claim to be super connected with nature and that's why they're totally plant-kin y'all, but I've seen no evidence that they even go outside, much less are "connected to nature". The only time they talk about one of their supposed obsessive interests is when the space-themed headmate fronts and even then it's not even anything cool or scientific about space, it's just like "yep space exists and I sure do like it."

This is one of the saddest things about Vade. Personally, I think it's totally fine if your chief interests are weed and vidya, but what's the point of pretending to be passionate about things you clearly don't care about? (And I supposed they could be endlessly researching and discussing nature and marine biology outside Tumblr, but... nah, it's Vade.)

The fact she refuses to take care of her dog is proof enough for me that she doesn't give a shit about nature. Only thing she's connected to is the refrigerator.

Vade really wants to be more interesting than they are and you aren't interesting if you only care about weed and vidya! So Vade pretends to like marine biology and space and animals so they can appear to not be as shallow as a goddamned puddle.

Yes, if you disagree you're some kind of horrid bigot. It seems that if you are an older person you are called a pedophile for even commenting on a younger person, though I was unaware of this rule 'til it happened to me. I seem to see a lot of bizarre gatekeeping going on here.

I too have a mental illness and am not at all proud or happy to have it. Maybe the tumblristas think it's another free pass to be shitheads? You know, in case the autism card doesn't work?

That's the common attitude, yeah. You get to act like a shithead all you want, and you can chalk it up to mental illness without ever having to apologize or reform your behavior.

... Unless you're a cishet white dude, in which case nobody cares if you're mentally ill on Tumblr, because SOCIETY already caters to your mental illness all the time, because it only ever gets discussed when one of those dudes goes on a shooting spree.

I am just so very, very tired of Tumblr logic, you guys.

@Meowthkip - me too. That's why I keep coming here where we all find it pretty ridiculous.

Is it bad that I hope Vade will see the light? That she'll start drawing again? I think asspats from art are better just because then (some) artists keep growing, even if they do suck.

I remember, last year, some asshole Tumblrite who wandered too close to /tg/ said something along the lines of white dudes not having any cultural significance. Whilst fa/tg/uy and ca/tg/irl brothers and sisters sagebombed the thread, I saw an opportunity and conversed with this bizarre organism from another internet-world. When I brought up the various medical and scientific advances brought about because of heterosexual white dudes, I was told I was exhibiting scientism. When I brought up various marvels brought about through the ages by white people, I was told none of those mattered because colored people suffered due to those advances.

Finally, fed up with the shit (and openly trollbaiting), I brought up that it was white dudes who established empires and brought that new-fangled civilization thing to everyone, for all its drawbacks, and that if oppressing some assholes thousands of years ago was what that took to get here, I figured that was an acceptable loss, and wondered aloud when we would arrive on Tumblr in our cruel longboats and put its inhabitants to the sword.

The Tumblrite stopped posting after that. :(
