Y'know, it's funny (not "ha ha" funny, but "weird" funny). If this whole sordid affair had been based off him allegedly consentually banging some 14 or 15 year old fangirls at cons, and nothing about jellybeans or hugging, it would have been incredibly plausible and probably would've gone unnoticed by pretty much anyone. That's an offense I could 100% believe he might have done, since he's surrounded by throngs of teenage girls at cons, and has been for years. If he wanted to do it, he certainly could have; that's why the initial "why are you hiring a pedo" tweets at least seemed like they could be based on truth.
Instead, we've gone on to have a variety of really, really strange claims that, even if true, are dramatically different from the allegations of being a pedophile rapist the whole thing started with. And yet, still...we have (to my knowledge) no affidavits from anyone claiming he had sex with them while they were a minor. Something which all logic would dictate would be the most likely crime he would've committed.
That's easier to defend against in terms of reputation. If you sleep with any fangirls, you could make an honest mistake about the age of the fangirls you sleep with (or even be deliberately mislead, including something like "not cottoning on to the fact that their ID is fake"). It's often strict liability so won't help with criminal charges, but you could conceivably apologize for the behavior, stop sleeping with fangirls, and remain employed as a voice actor.
Sexual harassment of coworkers, on the other hand, instantly makes you a radioactive hire and torpedoes any professional career. Nobody wants to take on the legal liability of hiring a known sexual harasser and being held liable for condoning and accepting their harassment.
It's a common power-move done by companies, because most of the suits can't seem to grasp the concept that the extent of their power ends at the door to their offices.
Completely meritless request, and Vic was completely justified in BTFO'ing them
It's only enforceable if they give a severance package that's tied to accepting the terms, and even then only if you pay them enough money that they're willing to abide by the terms.
