Asterios struck me as a weed and booze kinda guy, and I don't recall him mentioning or alluding to using hard drugs. But the way he uses weed and booze should definitely raise red flags.
Listen to his early 5 minute podcasts. He discusses after biggest problem ended he was abusing pain killers, almost dies, ended up in rehab, and still has issues. Unfortunately Asterios shat out so much stuff its more digging than its worth, if you feel like digging through his reddit he mentions it when denying cocain use after Jessie from PodAwful accused him of using coke, and Asterios talks about how he never tried coke but hears its great....
Then half a year ago he talks about Road Rage Chicago (or Dallas) and uses the TDS code word "cross word puzzles" to tell a story about how kimble brought Coke and how they all got high or "went skiing"
Asterios uses had drugs, he just knows what drugs are socially acceptable to talk about and which ones aren't.
Obviously Asterios deletes his own tweets almost daily, but I am fairly confident this forced apology did not happen.
Depends on how you determine "forced". I have no clue what was said and done behind the scenes, but I'm being loose with the term forced. Rather Asterios leveraged that he was right after twitter blew up at him for kicking a guy while he's down and he doubled down, passive aggressively hinted at no longer associating with someone who does stuff like that cause it hurts his job opportunities IRL and Mumkey appologizing in on air to not have Asterios leave.
I know from experience that Asterios tends to plan and plot crap like that though to have it play out a certain way in public. He's done it with me over a reddit post.
Asterios may be a male feminist, and therefore the most likely demographic to do this, but I think he also has a pretty strong idea at this point how easy it is to leak conversations. It's happened to him a lot. It's not totally beyond belief that he'd try to fuck a fan or something; he's open about meeting Sriracha that way, after all. But it does beggar belief to think he'd be soliciting nudes in any sort of archivable way. A claim like this necessitates receipts. Asterios is a shitty friend and prioritizes self-interest, but he's also pretty trepidatious. It'd be a bit out of character to fuck up in this way.
So this is where I'm a powerlevel fag a little bit. You are right. Asterios know this, thats why he did it in person at a live show with a girl who is pretty tight with a lot of TDS communities (a mod for a few). Seems like he very much didn't wanna leave a paper trail on his end. I personally knew the girl, she told me IRL. I don't expect people to listen and believe. Figure I'd just share some hot Goss.
does seem pretty apparent to me that Mumkey is, to his detriment, taking advice from Asterios behind closed doors, or perhaps asking himself what Asterios would do in his situation. It's unfortunate. He needs to get off the Internet more than anything.
I actually disagree a little. He needs to slow down his role online but unless he plans on leaving the internet, closing his patreon and getting a real job... Every moment he's not online producing something his fans like and pretending he's a winner despite his life falling apart is a moment someone wonders why the fuck are they donating to the patreon of a dude who just talks about how his haters are loser incells then cries about his problems.
Null was right. It's a business. A business can handle a slow down in production, but not a slow down in quality. The SSRIs have made him not care about being funny or taking care of his business on the outside, while his emotions still swirl and rage on the inside. What he's doing is the equivalent of being out sick for a month but checking in once every 2 weeks to meet some minimum employee attendance requirement to stay on the payroll.
The sad thing is this is all self inflicted. All he did was cheat and stick his dick in crazy. This is a saga that should of been done in 2 weeks tops. Mumkey going into theropy and trying all this shit that gets in touch with his feelings is turning him into a lolcow and he's too doped up to notice. He needs real world advice, a plan of action forward, and to treat his youtube shit like a business unless he decides getting a real job is the best course of action.
